OMI will continue as a going concern. IMO they will need to raise cash this quarter. There will be plenty of takers and they will go on to develop ANZA with Newmont. Long term this is a 10 bagger all day long but will need to raise to cover admin in the mean time.

Elgor, What cash do they have coming in from Newmont?

That's been my view for a long time and why I'm not topping up anymore. Need a placing to cover admin costs. Guess they will hold on as long as they can hoping for an SP spike when more Newmont news eventually drops.

Double edged sowrd though. Want to raise with he SP as high as possible but the shadow of a raise might dampen reaction to news. I would rather they just raised enough cash for a couple years admin now so we can draw a line under it and enjoy reaction to the news flow over the next 12 - 24 months.

There's no doubting the potential OMI have in Columbia and the fact that Newmont will eventually progress the exploration. For me the issue is the free cash flow situation. With no income and Newmont in no hurry to progress, where is the money coming from to keep the OMI lights on?

Newmont CEO's endorsement of Columbia means a lot more to me than anything these derampers spew out. The links below say it all.

Still reckon this could 10 bag over the next couple of years if ANZA fulfils it's full potential.

IMO, Short term the £30m MCAP and 16.74p SP is easily achievable.

Apologies that was MCAP as yesterday's close. But as of now I make it 117.5m shares at 6.8p MCAP around £8m.

Anyway I think we can All agree that it is serious undervalued and going to re rate to a more realistic price soon. Should atleast test 14p after NI report.

Market cap around £6.5m with exposure to a potential mega gold deposit which is fully funded through to development by a super major miner.

This is as close as I have ever seen to a gauranteed 10 bagger.

This will be the share of 2019 and I'm so happy to get in at the bottom.

Today's RNS puts the Uruguayan issues to bed and leaves OMI free to concentrate on ANZA.

Not a case of if this re rate now. Only a matter of when. IMO the NI report will drop this week and will see it re rate on the back of it.

However in this instance I don't see anything Other than socialist human rights activists getting a little bit of power. Thats right it's a high quality, high value target.

It provides further diversification away from the Putumayo.

There is reduced risk as it is updip from Mariposa 1 with good 3D Seismic coverage.

ONGC want it to themselves and success could mean a BIG offer for AMERs 30%.

Given the last details released, as below, the pumping station must be commissioned by now. Just interested in why they would not release the info.

Last RNS on Chiritza

The Chiritza re-pumping station project continues to advance ahead of schedule. On 6 August 2018, the tie-in of the Chiritza manifold to the RODA main line was successfully performed. The Company is currently installing the booster pumps and control systems. The Chiritza station is expected to be commissioned in September 2018, on budget and ahead of schedule. Once completed Amerisur will have access to a minimum daily carrying capacity of 9,000 bopd through the RODA system.  The Company wishes to express its gratitude to Petroamazonas EP, RODA and the Ecuadorian Government for their support in expediting this highly complex engineering operation

Given that, barring some sort of catastrophe, the Chiritza pumping station must be commissioned by now why hasn't this and the upgrade to 9000bopd been RNSd.

Could there be some sort of acquisition or deal to make use of this extra capacity and they are waiting to release the details togehter.

A Market Maker runs a 'shop' I.e. you buy shares from him or sell them back to him.

Market Makers obviously have a degree of risk. If there is a flood of sellers, because the Market Maker's job is to provide liquidity, he has to buy those shares even though the rest of the market may want to sell. If the price continues to fall he could be left with a lot of stock on his hands that he paid considerably higher prices for than he can sell for now.

Vice versa - if a share is rising sharply the Market Maker has to continue selling the stock to the buyers so he could end up "short" of stock. In this situation he has sold stock he has not got, to fulfill all the buy requests, and he has to buy this stock in to balance his books, but at higher prices and makes a loss.

However i think it important to finnish off your lessons and ensure a full understanding.

The market makers will not be holding on to the 29m + shares you reference these will have been sold on long ago. By the end of today or tomorrow they will no longer hold the 3m they purchased yesterday. They are selling these today at a nice little mark up. That's what they do.

To keep it really simple for you look at them as a convienience store. They buy a product, shares in this instance, they advertise them on their shelves at a marked up price, order book in this instance, and sell them on to their customers, investors in this instance.

Can't believe I had to resort to the convienience store. That's how I explained it to my 6 year old.

Anyway in the interest of the board I will be withdrawing my lessons forth with and concentrating of the fundamentals of AMER rather than the fundamentals of trading.

Workover you won't get any arguement from.

Its clear to see you are no further forward in your understanding of how the market operates. Quite alarming that you can be investing your hard earned in something you have such a poor understanding of.

NicetoMichu, very good understanding of how market makers operate and very well explained. Hopefully Workover takes the time to read it and furthers his understanding.

Workover, I am fully aware how market making works. And if you don't think market makers hold inventory to provide liquidity then obviously you do not.
