Cheers Hogsnipe. Interesting to see ALK move up but a pull back here? With the USA, Pacific deal and the need to start a new industry from scratch , the short term moves here are silly.
Short termism in general is a poor investment strategy being held by more more as bots & AI start to control share price movement.
Something like 70% of all trades are now non human.
It shows.
Not selling on the drop of a hat is an action needing thought and consideration, which is in itself an action of our investment process.
Holding is most often the hardest bit.
More importantly TheeDuke this is the bigger picture as the UK, Europe and USA who Alkemy & Tees Valley Lithium will supply will need global supply starting from Port Hedland, Boodarie, WA.
"#ALK With Atlantic Declaration in place🇬🇧/🇺🇸 & our Australia🇦🇺 strategy that will involve the construction of an LSM refinery in Port Hedland, @TVLithium is set to be the most sustainable and significant producer of #Lithium hydroxide globally🌍"
VIS ...
"Allkem Managing Director and CEO, Martin Perez de Solay said:
“We are very proud to have achieved the milestone of first production at Olaroz Stage 2 proving the operational viability of the carbonation process. The successful expansion of Olaroz reflects our growth strategy and commitment to ensure long-term social and economic sustainability of our business for customers and stakeholders. This achievement demonstrates the expertise of our team who will now focus on completion of commissioning and ramp up to full capacity.”
The Olaroz Stage 2 project involved the construction of 15 extra brine wells, 31 evaporation ponds, three lime plants, a reverse osmosis water plant, a soda ash plant, a carbonation plant, accommodation and other services."
Brines my friend forget the rock mica go for high concentrate 24/7 chemical water processing. Kerching.
Allkem and Toyota think its good enough ;-)
VIS , I will cautiously await August and the issue equity for the two who put cash in to keep ALK ticking over.
Gut says the delays with BV which has to have been a part of the long term revnue has been sn unexpected blip at the start of this year.
Europe needs hydroxide, UK will need hydroxide and carbonate and I suspect the USA IRA new deal only a couple of months old could well fill any holes in supply.
Get this equity issue out the way in August and then lets see who ( Pilbara Min or Rio ) steps up in Australia to start the supply ball rolling ?
Was hoping the sp in August would be £1.20-1.40 so I could top up on the equity increase but looks like investors are wanting in ?
Japan are now part of the deal the UK signed this week in New Zealand as part of the Pacific Pact.
Just saying.
Toyota in the UK now looking at EV...not hydrogen which was their thing until this year !!!
UK Gov just need to grab the horns and crack on building a multi Billion £ industry
Hello Hogsnipe.
Love you views posted on here inc the wider take on holdings over a period of time and wider sector China v US / West views.
Question if may.
"@#£ into the hurricane" quote made me chukle but seriously how are the UK gov going to sort this mess out and when are the going to get the balls to help create a whole new industry justing needing a bit of help?
Like you I see the US being very proactive and Australia operate in general with distain towards BS and @#£@ into the wind. I see both as the probable leaders in investing by stealth?
I'd love to here your view. I hold ALK and quite a large holding and post over there, but have roughly the same thoughts. Often feel like the only one over there so alittle validation I'm on a good thought process would help ?
Good solid posting HS. Will follow your posts from now with interest. I like the wider view and not the narrow focus and pure hare some others hold fixed.

Great to see some posting.
As the plans made until Feb 2023;will have changed anything from before Feb 23 should be now tken with a pinch of salt. The Atilium link is a very good link though and does show the new current arena of potential.
Its changing by the month as the goal post move. Not necessarily in a bad way either. Sounder footings may come frm reassessment ?

August the CEO gets his £1.45p options.
More like £5.27p tbh if that chap incharge has triggers for options at £5.00. He is so darned naughty buying in with his own money and obviously wasting it buying in here at £1.45p. Daft so and so and what a mug. Should wait for 27p then buy the whole deal out and sell tp the Chinese for 5x the cash ???
Teehee.

NO CLIENTS , but in talks with several. Not great for the Midlands BUT i'd say with grants and funding rising , a German factory expanding after only 1 year and Japan & Korea looking at the UK it could be an interesting company who takes up the challenge.
TOTAL Theorising from me & him
It will never happen and its sounds like dreamland.
Sorry forgot that bit MO will be laughing at me for being so darned positive by mistake. MO will learn that alk will be 27p soon.... ;-)))
