I can't believe we are still in the 70s! I topped up again today as two more RNS are expected this week:
1) Vim Rutha results, that RM recently defined as exceptional in an interview
2) Kilimapesa project economics
Together they would give even more confidence to current and prospective investors. We just need the team to deliver on its 24k oz/y target and the POG to rise a bit and this will fly in Q1-Q2 next year.

It would not be surprising if the chinese were sidelined here to favour western companies, de facto reducing the number of potential predators. Not good for SOLG then..

Let's hope the seller is done, otherwise this slow agony will get more and more painful. I can't explain the lack of interest on this share since we are about to start production at Singida and WK is being proven to be an amazing asset.. Still holding and pocketing the dividend but I am hoping for some action. Perhaps our boys could get their hands in the pocket and buy some shares..

In terms of TA, we broke out in october from a diagonal channel that started in early 2020. We bounced off the upper bound of the channel in mid november and we may test it again around £20. Today the 50 MA held nicely

@bebeto they only provided operational information, no assays results. How many meters they drilled and where the rig was in Q3 is information they do not need to dig much to find. Exploration results will be communicated separately

@bebeto I don't think the delay has anything to do with the Vim Rutha drilling.
The Q3 update should provide information on production and operational activities. RM in a recent interview said they've just been too busy with the funding discussions. The team is small so they had to prioritise, I think. Also, the results are likely to be poor in terms of production. Still, not acceptable to post Q3 results towards the end of Q4.
I suspect they will issue the Vim Ruth and Q3 update very close to each other.
I topped up just now and i am ready to do it again if there's a further SP drop. A rerating is coming

I was also kicked out a couple of days ago for some mild criticism towards RM and the board on their poor communication. There's no value in that chat anyway, it's just a bunch of uneducated and childish people that formed an echo chamber where you are only allowed to be uber bullish (3p tomorrow! 5p by friday! that sort of BS).
I prefer to discuss with people who share actual information, analysis and balanced views. I have a few million shares hence I think I am entitled to complain about those running the company if it goes in a direction I don't like.
As for yesterday's news, I am very happy. It removes lots of concerns about the credibility of the company and it positions us well going into Q1 next year. I won't be surprise if we retrace a bit from here, especially if Q3 results are not great, but i am sure in 6 months we'll be way above 1p

ID78, all correct. We are definitely very undervalued.
Just some caution with the numbers as we don't know yet the cost of the 10M finance. It all depends at what price (is it fixed or is it a % discount?) GCAT is selling its gold in exchange of the finance deal.
We may not take off until there's confirmation of the 2koz/month target being hit though. But by then we will hopefully be well over 1p.

stackhigh, you were not filtered yet but I am correcting my oversight now.
Mine is not desperation. I have a decent holding but that's only a portion of my liquid wealth and I can afford to wait for years, if needed. The assets are there and it's very likely that I'll make a tidy profit. I may be wrong but I trust the norwegians, the chinese, BHP, NCM and the board more than an anonymous poster.

there's not much happening yet I see tens of messages per hour by the usual 4-5 people. Not sure what they can add to our common knowledge at this point so I filtered them out. Less noise and distraction from what really matters.
What matters is that we have a unique asset (Alpala), surrounded by several extremely promising licences. Each of them is potentially worth a multiple of the current market cap. Alpala alone is a monster and several MAJOR investors have a slice of the pie. Folks in the board have also a considerable holding and the company has made it clear that it's looking at ways to optimise value for us shareholders. We won't be mining our copper. There will be a fierce battle and at the end the SP will reflect the value of the assets. Not expecting to see a bit landing tomorrow or next week, but once we have completed the merger and the review is out, we are off to the races. I topped up last week at 16.5 and today at 17. I am fully loaded and i can wait for as long as it takes. Top up, sit back and relax guys.

sniffer, I am not expecting more but the market may be. Communication has been terrible over the last few months. Just terrible. Not selling my 5M shares at a loss though

JRT I agree, i suspect the quarterly production figures are s*** so they are waiting to hide them behind bigger and more positive news on funding. I guess it's going to be a forward sale of part of the gold production. Hopefully we'll get some news from the drilling campaign too

@legalwolf I agree with you. I would prefer a more rigorous approach with the communication. And if the comments made by RM regarding funding and drill results are not in tune with the content of the next few RNSs, I'll be selling all my holding.
He said that drilling results are exceptional and that the market will love the funding deal. Let's see how it goes..
Today I lowered my average and took a speculative punt but I need more solid evidence of revenues and progress on the various front. Where's the quarterly update, for example?

seems like a few people have started accumulating after watching the video. Crazy that we are just above £10M m.cap when we have a producing gold mine which is fully funded towards an expansion already in progress.
Other news in the pipeline:
- financing (Robbie seemed quite positive and I believe he'll avoid further dilution. He's also a significant shareholder here, having bought a good chuck at a much higher SP than now)
- production update
- drilling results ("extraordinary" he said in the video)
- dual listing (if it's still going ahead)
- Tanzania project

I bet we'll get one or more RNS early next week

If the POG assists us we may even double the SP by year end..

I am hoping for finance news early next week. Robbie mentioned recently that a good finance deal is nearly in the bag so when the next hit, confidence will come back. Drilling results are also due and the CEO sounds very bullish. Hopefully we'll be back to 0.8-0.9 in a few days.

I am just disappointed by the poor communication and the delay in posting Q3 results.

If you guys join the dots you'll see that we are getting ready to sell the whole business to the highest bidder. We needed to get the whole Cascabel, we needed some cash to take us through negotiations without anxiety and we don't need a CEO any more. Just top up and let Mather & C. do their job. Not sure if it is going to take 3, 6 or 9 months but I am pretty sure that SOLG will not be around at the end of 2023. Stop wasting time with aimless discussions and bickering on this page.
I took another slice today and will continue to add until the SP stays sub 20-25p.
