Roland I'm doing the same. It's tough holding on and it is a scary time when not much happens. Would I invest more in AFC.....yes if I had a big enough chunk free to invest. I see it as a massive growth company, but we do need the next few years to come good and only time and patience will tell
Also all, sorry about my typing. Doing on your phone with fat sausage fingers isn't the best combo
Anthansius if that happens it will be the top end of my dreams and it's nice that other believe it "could" happen. If it does fantastic, if it doesn't hey ho
For those who have invested a lot of money I fully understand the frustration. Just remember though......you can't produce a baby in a month by getting nine women pregnant. Sometimes things just take time.
We are at the start of this alternative fuel journey and I'm just settling into my seat for a long trip. Think yourself lucky you didn't by Powerhouse Energy. I'm 50% down on that baby
Roland no problem sharing that.......it's 15p. Ok I have not invested as much as others, but I recognised AFCs potential and took a "risk". Regardless of how much I put in it's still scary having 90% of your portfolio in one share. I just happen to believe in the potential and future. Anyone who wants to call me a fool please continue, but I'm hugely optimistic with this company and I really don't believe the negative comments on here. I do like to read them though and respect everyone's opinion so any comments from me are made with the greatest of respect.
If there was a buy out tomorrow and I received what they are currently worth then I'd still be happy because this isn't the only share out there that has the potential to make me a millionaire. Also I honestly bought into the company because of morale reasons. Could I have bought Shell and BP, yes. Would I be happen adding to climate issues with oil etc, no. It's just my view.
I'm not slating BPO I'm just saying I can't see Adam Bond walking away as a failure on £300k and not having to worry again. His name would be mud in this industry
MPO818 I think you have to look at any CEO and ask yourself would they be happy earning £300k a year to then mess up and lose their job......they certainly won't be poor, but I they wouldn't be able to live the live they currently lead. Adam Bond has to make this a success or he will be forever known as the CEO who failed and nobody wants a failed CEO working for them. Basically he is in the same boat as all of us, albeit slightly better off money wise I'd imagine.
Yes there are some unanswered questions on actual progress and money, but why are we all here.......we bought into a company whose technology we like. That hasn't changed. Some will stay long term, some will stay short term, either way we all came to the pub for the same reason......a pint, what you drink is your choice.
Always happy to hear to differing opinion but mine is this company is on the way up. We might never reach the summits companies like Shell or BP have, but everyone needs energy right? Put the kettle on, have a cup of tea and wait for all this to blow over. I have £250k sat in here and I'm not worried.
Hi everyone. I've seen a lot of different views on this forum for AFC and it's all great reading. Love how everyone is so passionate either way.
Just wanted to bring somethig to the party, something I've experienced personally. 5 years ago I started with a company, who will remain nameless, who were trying to being new tech to their sector. They had many doubters and were often shorted for no reason because their tech had huge potential. For the first 2 years it was tough, there was often a very dim light at the end of the tunnel and I myself nearly gave up and left. 3 years ago they signed their first licensing deal and it was the start of something amazing. Today they have multiple deals in place and the share price has gone from £2 to almost £30 in 5 years. Their tech is an industry game changer and can be used across many different sectors.
Now I know some people have been though a lot of pain with AFC, and some like me haven't......I bought at an average price of 14p, but we can't forget one thing............the world IS changing, AFC does have the tech, now may not be the right time or it could be the best. Either way the tech isn't going to stop working over night, ABB wouldn't have invested so heavily if they didn't trust and believe the road map, the world won't stop wanting to improve and become carbon free. Hang in tight if you can, sell if you need to, but just remember the name AFC Energy because I certainly won't.
Be kind and peace out
Merve
I think it is wonderful that someone has bought shares in AFC no matter how small an amount. Agree with all the comments that we are all on different financial paths and at the end of the day I hope and believe we will all be winners in the long term, so lets chill and be positive. Who cares how much we invested and have made as long as we are all OK with our pot of ££££
Surfie.......you crack on and leave when you are ready. I got lucky buying at the right time with the right amount of money so for me I can afford to sit back wait 10 years. As mentioned in my previous reply I am taking the Warren Buffett view on it. OK the fundamentals are not good, but then how many people slated Apple, Amazon, Tesla and Ocado before they went and proved the world wrong.
I feel for those who have already been in 10 years and have lost, and yes the next 10 months may very well be important to a lot of people. Who knows maybe in 10 years I may well feel the same, but for now I am going to sit back on my sofa and wait.
I wish everyone else who wants out a great deal of luck in getting to where they want to be, but still stand by my thoughts that not only will the company be a very different one but that the world will be a very different place with changing attitudes to energy. AFC has every chance of being on the front foot for this.
Could not agree more. Mid to Long term I have utter faith in AFC. Short time......its all just tree shaking. Warren Buffet and Charlie Munger have both said if you are not prepared to lose a third of your holding due to volatility in a share at any given time then you don't deserve to hold it.
All I see when the price drops is an opportunity to buy more shares. I'm at 257k and counting and I plan on getting that to 500k at this price. 10 years time I am confident we will much better off.
Hi all,
I am one of the unfortunate that invested in China New Energy whilst they were on the AIM. I guess the good news is we are finally getting our certs. Bad news is the £25 I am being asked to pay to obtain this.......oh well.
My question is a simple one.......I hope. If I had 20,000 shares when they were listed on the AIM would I still have the same now they are on the HK stock exchange or was there a dilution of shares?
Hope everyone is keeping strong with this company and not to annoyed.
Regards
Merve
Ian, I am also with The Share Centre and tried contacting them today.........not very helpful though. refereed me to the corporate team who will get in touch.
Are yours also showing as "Not Tradeable"? If so how does it get resolved? I'm getting nowhere with them
Hi all. I'm looking for a bit of info on this whole cancellation on AIM shares and listing on the HK exchange for CNE. I thought it was a case of any shares UK based shareholder owns simply being converted to the HK market, but logging into my share account I see I can't trade the shares at all. Is this simply a case of it takes time for it all to come through or have I been sold down a brown coloured River with no paddle?
