The relative success or failure of any vaccine takes time to understand and prove. A long time.
You take a vaccine. Does that automatically preclude you from being tested if you develop symptoms?
No
Does it preclude you from proving you aren't Covid positive in the future if you want to attend an event, the theatre, work etc etc?
No.
Our lives are about to change.
The combination of lightning quick testing with a 'I'm Covid Negative Proof' won't go away.
I run big events, if we get to the stage where we can open our doors again, I couldn't care less if you've had a vaccine.
I want to know are you Covid Positive right now and can you prove it?
If not and you can prove it (lightning quick test with link to a Covid Passport perhaps) then in you come and suddenly a whole world currently shut down opens back up safely (sporting events, theatre, conferences, exhibitions, cruise ships etc etc etc).
If Avacta was a one trick pony then I would have some concerns but we're not so I'm not.

The long term impact of Covid are severe for some. They'd be unlikely to be in this state if they'd originally been treated with #SNG001

From this interview,it sounds like the real challenge (as mentioned in yesterdays RNS is test manufacturing ramp up). Nice problem to have, that is the challenge for AL, you've got the right test, can you produce enough of them quickly to meet demand. Govt use of the test will change according to its availability (which also explains why Hanc**k couldn't be more specific in the interviews. Onboarding new manufacturing partners quickly is very important now.
The RNS this morning gave the impression that meeting the demand at a global level is a key focus, it stated that we need more manufacturing partners to meet anticipated demand. That anticipated demand must have come from ongoing conversations around the world... A good time to buy in, don't think the SP will stay at this level for much longer.
Also the reference to needing more partners to meet Global demand is very telling. We've a cracking test and won't be able to keep up with the demand for it unless we sign up more partners.
'We therefore continue to actively seek additional manufacturing partners globally to be able to provide the volume of tests that will be required in the UK and elsewhere. '
Great RNS but this is is the most interesting bit for me as it ultimately links to market forces and test sale volumes
'We therefore continue to actively seek additional manufacturing partners globally to be able to provide the volume of tests that will be required in the UK and elsewhere.'
- More Manufacturing Partners Required
- Global Requirement
- Provide Volume Required
There must be some seriously big volume convos going on in the background for AL to include this information in the RNS.
If you're Symptomatic it's likely you know you have Covid and hopefully would get a test and isolate to protect others.
It's those that are asymptomatic, don't know they have it that are likely to be the most infectious because they're going about their normal daily life. They're not isolating but spreading the virus everywhere they go.
We're all out there keeping an eye out for people coughing and looking sick and not paying as much attention to those that aren't. The key to filling the virus is finding these people and that is what Avacta is aiming for and what major governments around the world need. This is what will help identify the most infectious people.
Baron Lol having travelled to Glasgow 30/40 times for work, I do know that. Meant rest of UK so England, Wales & Northern Ireland is back to school this week/early. Sadly, this must have had an impact in Glasgow. The sooner SNG001 is more widely available to treat people the better.
This has happened so regularly over the 4 months I've been invested here. MM's playing games, pushing price South as much as they can to fill large orders. Just hold for Gold, over time the shaky PI's are getting fewer and fewer and the MM's have to resort to more extreme price movements to unlock shares. Don't get this far to give up at the last hurdle.
IMHO the complete lack of news is a very strong indication that there are some very significant conversations going on in the background that cannot be shared with investors. Only those that hold will benefit.
