Then factor in the letters from the US and the EU, plus the looming arbitration and Bidzina Ivanishvili may have played his hand too soon, if the GG has actually taken over Block 12. The one thing that is certain, is that the odds for extradition for racketeering charges have shortened considerably with all the political involvement, if any paper trail or electronic one exists. Regardless of how this pans out, if there are any links between SH/O and the Russians, and/or Bidzina Ivanishvili, and/or TW et al, then IMHO Uncle Sam will act swiftly.

Oopsi - I agree with your view about the similarity between the statements from lobbied politicians and paid lawyers. However, IMHO the politicians have every right to make statements. Whereas the lawyers acting for the GOGC in the arbitration, may be breaking the terms of the arbitration's confidentiality. If they have broken the terms, why would they take this risk? Perhaps my suggestion from the 29th was right :-

Hogan Lovells may have thought that breaching the arbitration's confidentiality agreement was less damaging, than the GOGC taking over Block 12, 'which would have been legal suicide' (as stated in your post @ 17:31).

Gipps - If the accounts were in Houston, would they have had access via a liquidation in the Caymens? IMHO they needed to start proceedings in NY first under Chapter 15, but as I'm not a lawyer, perhaps Oopsi can clarify?

Tsbs - Either SH/O wants shares before FTI raid the accounts or if Bidzina Ivanishvili is linked to SH/O, he will want it to go on as long as possible. The lack of wages is bad PR for FRR, which helps the propaganda coming from pro-Russian sources.

Gipps - IMHO FTI haven't paid the workers as they haven't accessed the bank accounts. If my theory is correct there will be enough money in those accounts to pay off SH/O, which ends the cases in NY and Texas.

ODR - The court cases started in 2018 and the workers were paid up to April 2019, hence why they were owed 8 months wages in the December articles. At the end of April 2019 FTI took control of FRCC and the workers haven't been paid since or the Caymen's lawyers. IMHO the timing is not just a coincidence, the money to pay all debts has to be going into FRCC or one of it's subsidiaries.

Phillm - I just added the 92nd tick up to your post having only just read it. I know how tough it was posting your thoughts on the situation as I lost a close family member in 2018 after caring for them for a number of years. They weren't invested, but due to the sleeping for up to 18 hours a day in the final months, it resulted in research which brought me here from early 2018. I rapidly went from about 10% to 90% (the other 10% was unavailable to trade). Just after I had almost doubled my investment (that took me to 90%), I was told by more than one stranger and a number of friends (a Gypsy, a Sikh, a Zoroastrian, plus more than one Hindu, Muslim and devout Catholic) that I would be greatly financially rewarded for those years of caring. None of these people knew at the time of my investment. I know some will probably laugh at this concept of what is in effect Karma, but if it helps in your belief, then any flak will be worth it.

IrishPaul, Frontera Resources Holding Ltd was the original entity that issued the CLNs which was liquidated (back in 2011 if memory serves me right). This entity was essentially a shell company and therefore FRR was in strong position when it defaulted (i.e. no recourse to FRR or any OpCos). Subsequently, an agreement was reached and new notes were issued by Frontera Resources International, secured by share pledge over FRCC, owner of the Georgian sub holding the PSA - hence Hope liquidated this collateral. However obligor to the notes remains FRI (not liquidated), which is were the Moldova PSA is also held. So, Hope is in a far better position today compared to the last time with FRH. Lest we forget, the personal guarantees issued by the Directors secured by 500m ordinary shares in FRR. I think this is what Judge Kawaley meant when he said bionic.

All this will mean squat if the Georgians take back the Block.

FRR is getting attacked on two fronts by worthy opponents right now.

It wouldn’t surprise me if there is a tripartite collusion going on behind the scenes to bring FRR down (Hope-GG-Ruskies).

Interestingly no news from that important hearing held in Texas Court on the 9th January regarding the two PGs.

bridget1963 - Uncle Sam doesn't think it's all over, hence the lobbying. Plus they will know more about what is happening than what has been released via the courts and the media. This possible deal between FRR, the GG and the SM's is off strategic importance and any court case with SH/O and FTI is just noise IMHO.

Zib - Plus the odd rat in the bottom of the oil drums lol.

Gipps51 - The loop hole was probably what one poster on here suggested in the past, that when SH/O resigned from the BoD it broke the mortgage agreement. Hence why FRR waited until after the resignation to transfer the asset. IMHO, all FTI is doing is delaying and running up costs in the hope that SN and ZM cough up shares in the Texas case. IMHO this is just noise and the real battle is over in Georgia and is about to start, when the people return to the planned demonstrations over proportional representation.

Ziggy - If FTI go after more information via a subpoena and there's enough money in the bank accounts, IMHO PWC will accuse them of running up unnecessary costs. IMHO they will therefore look at the bank accounts first.

Mick - It's been posted before and the stats didn't match those on the GOGC website, which were obtainable prior to the website changing. Therefore, they are not reliable.

Ziggy - FTI were able to request information since the process started in the Caymens. IMHO what they couldn't access were the bank accounts held by FRCC or it's subsidiaries in the US without approval of the US courts. Hence the US Bankruptcy Courts have Chapter 15 which is designed to help when the process involves foreign companies. IMHO if the accounts have enough to cover the debts the process should conclude quickly.

Tsbs - It will be if it's a special dividend, as IMHO with the Russian influence now within Moldovan politics the chance of developing the field is slim.

Depends if it's capital gains tax or dividend tax. As the shares are de-listed, if Block 12 is sold there will be a special dividend, but if FRR is sold I assume it will be the same as selling the shares. There are three rates for dividends, 7.5% basic, 32.5% higher and 38.1% additional rate. Therefore, over £150k will be taxed at 38.1% if it's a dividend.
