I can assure you we are classed as key workers. It doesn't take too much figuring given a) the type of postal items we deliver includes essential medical equipment and parts for essential equipment b) we have access to every single home in the country 6 days a week. We could quit easily deliver groceries which companies like Ocado cannot handle because they are overwhelmed and do it very easily. We could also deliver prescriptions which are now at record levels. These are just a couple of the many things that postal workers could help with. And that is why when people like Wolves and others mock us and make out our jobs are worthless you get a response from me. People like him and his ilk disgust me

But management need to play their part as well, this is not the time for putting in unagreed changes which are going to annoy the workforce at a time when we need to be working together. @Red yes because it restricts postal workers during a time when we will need to be more fluid if we are going to be assisting people during this time. This is not the time to be tracking people in the workplace or outside of the workplace for that matter its time for a truce until this is over

Don't buy into all this competition and changing market lies and nonsense. No one else delivers letters yeah we know parcels are growing. And what do these clowns want to do? Instead of opening the delivery window from 0700 until 1900 they want to butcher delivers and push the window ajar to some deliveries in the afternoon. There is a better way and the CWU have it open the delivery window to 12 hours a day and really take on the competition.

At Newpostie if you think going back to work after a dispute in which you have a crossed a picket line is going to make you the most popular person in the workplace then think again it aint. I have had two what I regarded as colleagues cross I never spoke to them again I never acknowledged that they existed I would look through them if they came the other way. By the way both of them left the industry not long after and completely without ceremony. I don't like Scabs we are employees we stick together and it is time to pick a side because what is coming is a nightmare.
As for the shorter working week. Why would they not be able to fund this? Once a deal is made a deal is made there is no going back or there are consequences as Royal Mail are seeing now.
