I can assure you everything in worldwide shipping IS NOT digital.

Try sending a container to china without physical documents including the following, and see where you get:

bill of lading, , commercial invoice, packing lists, certificate of origin, certificate of insurance, cargo declaration, export license,

the list goes on. All must be original physical copies. The definition of "wet" documents.

I cannot continue to explain that "payment on loading" still requires paperwork that must travel across the globe before funds are allocated for transfer to payment.

You kids have been raised on Amazon prime for too long.

Real world business transactions in Freight forwarding take real world business days to finalise.

Badomen, RE invoicing, payment on loading is not instantaneous.

5 minutes in the shipping industry and you would know wet documents (that means physical) need to be stamped, signed and physically received and processed by Hainan and their logistics / customs agents for the payments to be processed.

I previously estimated 12 working days for transit, plus office admin.

I respect your opinions, but the shipping world does not live in 2026 yet with Amazon deliveries and Paypal instant transfers.

My thoughts exactly: My dealings with CH has always been that they don't pay until guaranteed of quality.

It would be an admin nightmare to pay for 6% and receive 5% due to mis-calibrated measuring devices for example.

Again, I see this week as nothing but a setback, roll on April.

BA confirmed in the interview that shipment 2 is 24mil 95% payment, however previous "5%" outstandings have been higher.

My theory is H grade themselves, lowball the 95% and then pay the remaining and outstanding once grade confirmed.
