Thanks PompeyM, I understand the 2.5% He is lab verified, but as I understand things it was a small sample because the well did not flow. DM's theory about the hydrogen not being there was that it had reacted with the drilling fluids/mud. If this is the case could it affect the accuracy of the He test ? I don't know. It would of helped if they had published a He % for the sample that was 55% hydrogen

Any thoughts on the below taken from the RNS

· Flathead formation gas sample tested 2.5% helium, demonstrating significant helium potential with additional stimulation required to generate commercial flow rates.

· Flathead formation tested 55.2% hydrogen in gas sample isolated from drilling mud, in contrast to formation gas sample tested 0.7% hydrogen.

So my understanding the formation gas tested 2.5% helium and 0.7% Hydrogen, the gas from the mud tested 55% Hydrogen but no figure given for Helium.

If the gas is actually 55% hydrogen as has been implied would that imply the helium % would be lower ?

Have to agree, they have clearly misled investors here.

I have no problem if a well is not economic that is always the risk, but to mis lead investors in this way clearly with the intention of letting some get out is not a good look and is seriously damaging to their reputations

It's not the lack of commercial gas that has knocked 32% off the company it's the way the company have played this which has damaged their credibility.

I still have a holding here and hope they can get the flathead to flow if so there is a lot of upside, but the risk is high imho

I don't really want to get drawn in to another argument on this but labelling everyone who has concerns about a share they have invested in being suspended for 4 months as shorters or investors who missed the boat is frankly insulting and just winds people up.

In my opinion a lot of the negativity is shareholders venting their frustration, which under the circumstances is not unreasonable.

There are of course exceptions

Lab result for flat head was 2.48% lab results for Amsden and Charles are pending but that's not really the point

The point is the percentage in mud of 0.1% is not the percentage in gas, which is what JH was trying to imply

JH you seem to miss understand the helium shows in mud Vs helium concentrations in gas flow.

As an example when drilling clink they had up to 130X background helium concentrations in the mud. We now know that there is 2.5% helium

Darwin has up to 250X background helium in the mud, so I would expect it to be a lot higher than 0.1% when the gas flows

Not a terrible RNS but certainly not the company making helium and hydrogen flows we were all hoping for.

We need the gas composition in the Amsden to determine the commercial value here.

It looks like the flathead and Charles require more work, hopefully the company can put out a video giving more detail on this
