To a point Lucando, he has does well in defending the West of Ukraine if i'm honest. Striking the Oil depot on Russian soil was also a very well thought out move, but, it still doesn't stop the East problem. If you don't want prolonged fighting there, peace is realistically the only solution from this point.
By the way, if it happens, both sides can state that they did well to their relevant people. Russia/Putin can claim they took out Azoz to ensure peace for pro-russian people in Eastern Ukraine, Ukraine/Zelensky has the evident claim of successfully defending Western Ukraine and repelling the attack on that front.
There is a very logical route which could take place from here if i'm honest, where both sides can save face and end hostilities, i've got my fingers crossed that it happens, let's be honest, it's went on long enough now.

The history is what the history is, as of today, Azov took a heavy beating last Thursday according to multiple sources, and, Russian troops are either withdrawing, or, defeated and withdrawing in the West of Ukraine currently. In to Belarus at this moment of time. That's what has happened to date.

Ukraine wanted a ceasefire, one of the terms was withdrawal of troops, remember, that was stated not long ago. So, if troops are indeed withdrawing in to Belarus, then shouldn't the ceasefire stage be better set right now? From ceasefire you would work to the wider peace solution and agreements over Crimea, Dombass etc.

Prolonged fighting in the East is a no go tbh, Russia could simply keep reinforcing there for a very long time, no one wants that surely? However, i do accept that there may be a small chance that it could happen, the reason is due to the constant swinging by Zelensky, one minute he states he wants peace ASAP, the next he's pleading for heavy armoured weaponry as if he has no plan of ending the fighting shortly, that can be quite confusing when you're following all sides imho

Prolonged fighting in East Ukraine would be stupid at this stage, that's my honest opinion. Peace is the most logical solution from here, we'll all just have to wait and see if it does indeed take place due to the change in battlefield dynamics.

Boldlygo, you have to show both sides. You can't just get blinded by one sides propaganda, all sides use propaganda, that appears the part that some of you seem stuck on. To figure out what Putin wishes to achieve, you have to go through their Propaganda, take note of what they're saying to figure out what the actual plan was. Perhaps there was a far wider plan and some things have been scuppered, who knows, but, clearly Azov was a very clear objective going by all of their media to date. Everyone knows the background of Azov as that's who the pro-russian separists had been fighting in the East of Ukraine since 2014. So, as a military objective of trying to ensure peace for pro-russian people, one of russia's objectives would have been to take out Azov, that's just simple logic.

Ukraine's main objective has been to defend its country, rightly so. Both sides have objectives in the conflict.

People should be happy that troops are withdrawing in to Belarus, it's a big turning point.

Simply put, all media is currently filled with videos of the towns, villages etc that they've left. People casually driving through the places making clips of the destruction that has been left, some of it is quite stomach churning as bodies are literally just laying in the roads as they drive through. I'll not provide those links due to what they contain.

There is absolutely nothing out there which currently suggests that any troops are repositioning, quite the opposite, they're withdrawing to Belarus according to most sources. Nowhere near the fighting in the East. The ones that were at Chernobyl won't be repositioning any time soon, reports are that quite a number are being treated for radiation sickness.

Unbelievable.
Two full-fledged axes of attack just collapsed and were abandoned within 1 or 2 days. They just left having achieved nothing.
We expected Russians to get entrenched to prevent Ukraine from reinforcing Donbas, but leaving completely, en masse… unbelievable.

Still waiting to hear on that Stix, they'll surely be scheduled to arrive in time enough for the processing season though. I guess, if they have enough ore stockpiled from their winter work, they could get them in place while that ore is being processed. There would be a window of time, theoretically, to allow them to begin processing and get the draglines set up at the same time.

I'm quite excited to see them arrive, i still remember years ago when they just had a small little pilot plant in operation, they've moved on leaps and bounds since those days. It hasn't been a straight forward path for them, granted, but, they do appear to have got themselves to a very comfortable position with things now!

The Rhodium price difference will always be the most evident financial changing event for last season, in all scenarios, the fact that they added more washplants, simply added to the Rhodium extracting bonus dynamic.

Even comparing it to June 2020, circa $9000 an ounce, there was a dramatic change in profit from mining Rhodium. Expense for extraction remained relatively the same throughout. It picked up a bit better towards the end of 2020, but, there was only one plant running at the time and weren't they limited to what they could produce that year, from memory?. Numbers never lie!

Let me put it more simply for some, June 2019 Rhodium was around $3000 an ounce, ok, that easy enough?

Do people not believe that the price difference could make a somewhat dramatic change to the companies financials? Bare in mind that costs stay almost stationary, it is the profit which increased exponentially on every ounce pulled out of the ground and sent to the smelter last season. If they hit (which i believe they may have) a Rhodium rich area, then that would have had a relevant dramatic effect on the companies financials.

You need to think about that Rhodium a lot, the reason is because they're preparing the same area this season going by R1EX's satellite imagery. Two draglines will be going hammer and tong there, potentially nailing a bonanza grade area containing the suite of metals in that tweet. Both Iridium and Rhodium are still at very strong prices as we approach this years processing season, at those prices the team will be raring to go no doubt -

It's not a ramp, it's just what they've been pulling out of the ground, the tweet simply confirms it with a physical nugget!

At the start of last season they were potentially pulling out Rhodium at $28k an ounce, can you imagine what that did to the financials. At it's lowest price last season it was around the $11k mark. All of the way to mid Sept it was in the $28k - $15k price range. That one nugget pictured is worth quite a lot, it simply depends on the Rhodium and Iridium percentage as to how high that one nugget would be worth. How many of them did they pull out using 3 plants over several months? No idea, but, we'll find out at the AGM i believe!
