As those Japanese car manufacturers scale up their EV production, the Chinese have to scale up their battery production to meet the requirements. Simple logic tells us that the Chinese need to secure a lot of resources to fulfil the obligations of the scaled up battery production.

It might say 'made in China' on the tin, but, Russian metal resources will end up in a lot of their battery product range.

Everyone is crying out for Nickel at the moment, Russian Nickel is no different to any other Nickel in the World, it sells for the same price and it goes into the same products!

People always had to try and outbid the Chinese, i don't think they managed imho.

Rumour is, that in these type of situations China bid way over the top to secure what they need, they make their profit on the manufacturing side of products in house in China. They've been securing assets for years in that manner, out bidding all others fair and square.

My money is on them being the highest bidder here, Sinosteel will construct and a mutually beneficial relationship will be made with NN. This is just my opinion however, we'll see exactly what's happened when the deal details finally arrive for us to look at.

Rosgeo proposes extending preferential taxation . . . . .

MOSCOW. March 30 (Interfax) - State exploration holding RosGeo has proposed introducing preferential taxation for geological exploration works through 2024, according to a letter seen by Interfax which the holding sent to the Economic Development Ministry.

It is expected that the introduction of preferences similar to those provided for offshore exploration [application of a multiplying coefficient of 1.5 when calculating costs, reducing profit tax payments] will stimulate investment in exploration and help ensure the stability of exploration companies amid sanctions pressure.

I think people have more proof then they will ever need as to the withdrawing of troops.

You have to watch it all due to how it has affected the SP here and the wider markets tbh, you would be foolish not to if you have substantial money invested across the markets.

Withdrawel and a better looking peace talks stage is what this incoming week is starting from, we'll see how it all progresses over the coming days.

There's talk of Russian troops being poisoned from food and drink given as well out there, so, it's best just to focus on the positive developments of the situation, the ones that will have relevant effects on the SP and the wider markets.

Just look on the positive side (as hard as that may be for some), the destruction we can all see is hopefully coming to an end shortly. Try to not bog yourselves down will any of the pretty rough negatives, it won't do your mental health any favours.

All sides use propaganda, it's pointless arguing over what is and what isn't propaganda in these situations. . . . . troops are withdrawing and the peace talks stage look a lot better set, just leave at that.
