Whoever bought those 200K shares on Friday may have just pulled off a blinder.
As expected Mooky performs a Master class in how and when to update the Market. He's simply held off until he's had something worth saying and dropped it at the moment its likely to have the most impact. Well done Mooky.
Yes, I've just seen this article. Fantastic news! Hopefully this will cut through a lot of the media fear mongering and encourages everyone whose eligible to get their jab.

Nice update Lat, lets not forget they have been increasing testing in at risk places like London and Bolton so some increase in cases is to be expected as testing is increased.
If it was being so heavily traded to move the share price in both directions wouldn't you expect to see much higher volume and churn? I'm sure individuals are trading but i'm dubious based on the volume that its anything significant. More likely it's just floating around based on lack of any real direction.
It's important to have long term projections too Solihullmike if your intention is to hold long term, so talking about future price points isn't a problem it's just important to be realistic and if anything maybe stay a little conservative to avoid disappointment.
It's good to be hopeful of a great recovery but I'd have to agree with Bonkers in that I don't think the time frame is very realistic. Cine will have to show great strides in dealing with the debt before they reach £2 which will likely be sometime next year after audiences are back at 100% capacity and the Marvel films start bringing in a billion dollars a time globally. When we are firing on all cylinders with the money rolling in, thats when £2 will be in sight imo.
If today brings us close to 90p then all that would have happend is we would have replicated last weeks movements. The good news is that if that happens then as of next week we can move forward without the BoA selling because it should have already been filtered into the share price. Hopefully it will give us a chance to move a leg up again.
One good thing to remember is that Cineworld is a cash generative business, what I mean by that is it's not reliant on the money arriving down the line like tech companies or other sectors do. What that means is as soon as we have big money coming in from the backlog of big films that have been waiting to be screened then the board can put that money to work straight away, especially when they don't have a dividend to worry about eating into their profits. They can pay down debts, deleverage, refinance loans for better interest rates etc.
Things will always look better in a few months time when we are reopening from a pandemic, the thing to remember is the market is forward looking so if things are expected to improve dramatically in a few months time that will start to get priced into the market over the coming days and weeks. So far it hasn't been.
"Two doses of the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine are between 85 and 90 per cent effective, the first analysis of real-world data suggests.
Public Health England’s study underscores the “incredible impact” of Britain’s vaccine rollout, ministers said, and shows the jab produced with Oxford University offers high protection from symptomatic Covid-19.
It comes as another milestone is passed in Britain’s wider vaccine rollout, with more than 37 million Britons now having had a first dose, and 21.2 million second shots administered.
As countries scale back or ditch the use of the vaccine altogether over concerns at extremely rare side effects, a panel of leading experts, including the deputy chair of the UK’s Joint Committee of Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), has stressed that "we mustn't bash" the AstraZeneca jab because it is an “incredibly good” vaccine."

If tomorrow performs like last Friday then you would be glad that you didn't.
With just over 30 minutes left of trading Cine hasn't even hit 4 million in volume today. Lowest volume i've ever seen, the MM's are running out of options but to change tract. The holders just aren't selling at a loss.
The offer needs to be significant enough for the majority of share holders to agree so is usually more than you expect when you consider the institutional share holders who may have been locked in in pre-covid prices. I think sometimes there may be an offer to keep your shares in the company if its a offer to take the company private but that then makes it harder to sell your stock later on when its not on the open market.
At least we know now whose been selling, not that it was any surprise. They will either buy back in at the lower price or sell up completely and stop manipulating the share price.
Thats the point, they want you to get frustrated. On low volume the share price can be walked down by market makers in the hopes of getting people to sell out of fear to create more volume, the point is because volume has practically dried up and their games aren't really working sooner rather than later things will have to change. As example, normally on a daily basis Cineworld sits somewhere in the top five of highest volume in the list of Ftse 250 companies, today we are 13th. Volume has dried up because of the volatility in the market and I wouldn't be surprised to see an improvement tomorrow similar to what we saw last week.
It's a good thing you're not invested then iTrader because I'd hate to feel the way you do if you had money on the line. As the global box office grows and better films are released each week then our volume will continue to rise and so will the share price. Just think what this share will do when we see our first post pandemic billion dollar film. At the moment the volume is low because of the market, not because of Cineworld.
The volume today is close to the worst we've seen all week. As soon as we see volume return then this sp will rise.
If we're talking film quotes then it has to be... "You don't understand! I could have had class. I coulda been a contender. I could've been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am."
Agreed MoneyP1t, well said and welcome to the board.
