I think, should the time ever come where the 99% (of all people, creeds and colours) understand the divide and rule game...then things could become interesting.

Before then, it will be interesting to see whether the politicians/judiciary go so far as to include these types of muses as falling into the category of 'inciting violence'.

When you think about it, you could stretch some fairly trifling opinions to achieve this aim, if you were of a tyrannical disposition.

Such things have been commonplace in most fascist dictatorships across the globe and throughout history.

Luckily of course, we live in a democracy, where policing by consent is one of the bedrocks of our society, as is free speech. Which is why our grandfathers risked their lives (and in many cases sacrificed them).

Unless we gap up on Monday though, IMO 87p is not going to be the bottom.

But it is a market-wide sell off, so I am not particularly concerned about that UT either.

Looks like we are going to have to wait for another opportunity to crack the 50 DMA. Barring some strong action before the close, we are going to close below it. I would say it would be neutral, rather than bearish at this stage.

Which does IMO mean another chance to add sub 60p, for those so inclined.

57p is my trigger point at the time of print. Sitting on my hands until/unless then. Still of the same opinion, in terms of the short term direction of travel, as I suggested yesterday. But time will tell. GLA.

As more people get poorer (especially the middle classes) then it will become harder to suppress free speech and harder to scare the majority into compliance with the tool of tyranny (censorship).

But unfortunately, IMO, we still have a lot of hardship ahead, before hopefully we get strong men to create good times again. After weak men have created these bad times (hat tip to the Strauss-Howe theory).

Whether that happens in time (eg before a CBDC roll out) is another matter. We can but hope.

Well, I think we are going to at least have another crack at 70p, and depending how the wider markets fare, perhaps a pop at the 200 DMA as well, before further specific news flow here.

I still remain dismissive of the bid angle right now.

The SP action is really not giving any signs of pricing that in, whatsoever.

But yes, in the theoretical sense, a bid would likely need to be in the range of the one in late 2023 IMO.

Would it need to be higher? Probably not, to my mind, but that is finger in the air stuff, and I am not giving it head space :)

Furthermore, they would have had ample opportunities to sell up in the past, or take it private (as I understand, this is not even their biggest asset, lol) so hopefully this will continue to remain listed.

Nobody, even those with a sub 5 quid average, should want to see this taken out, IMO. Certainly not in the next 12-24 months anyway.

It is a shame they cannot accelerate the BB. Presume it is done on weighted averages or something like that.

Low volume translates into low amounts of BB's, as we have seen from the last few RNS's on this front.

This level is not attractive to buyers (or a sufficient amount of sellers) obviously.

On the 5 day chart, it looks like we might have put a mini bottom in around the 380p level, but as I often say, I do not trust my chart reading skills, so you should not either :) GLA.

The volume since the update would certainly suggest so.

With fewer than 178 million shares in issue (and I think about 7% of that number is outside of the free float), hopefully the overhang will be cleared soon.

I like the risk/reward ratio at 90p, but ready to add a few more if we see low 80's on no further (negative) company-specific news.

Might even add some more at this price, if we were to see some significant inside buys first.

Short of that, this remains a trade for me, but one that I can sit on for as long as needed, subject to the obvious caveats. GLA.

This one is just a 'trader' for me, and with my medium-sized buy this morning, 50p would net a nice profit.

So often when I take a small opening position, it turns out to be near the bottom (inverse to when I go in fairly big from the get go), so it would make a nice change to have got the strategy right on this occasion - if it comes to pass.

I might leave the book mark position, in case we see another 60p plus run, but not going to look too far ahead, as that often leads to a stumble! GLA.

Not sure we are going to test 50p quickly, as some seem to think, but I will be satisfied if we can stay above 40p over the next few days and then hopefully move up from there. GLA.

It is often difficult to follow a Blackrock RNS; I have been in stocks where they have fiddled about with small adjustments up and then down over a few weeks. Not for any clear reason that I could understand.

Anyway, will be interesting to see if we are going to glide back down to the low 370's/high 360's range again in the next few trading days. Or resume the little upward trend we had and then onto a crack at 400p again.

The Fed might have a part to play in a little over an hour from now...GLA.

Probably because most of Africa is a complete basket case, and things are deteriorating in Nigeria, from what I hear. Anecdotal of course, and not an attempt to influence any decision making among the investment community here.

I have been tempted to buy in here a few times over the years, but that factor always stopped me from doing so.

Never say never, of course and if they can refocus the business away from Africa and replace lost revenue elsewhere, then it could be a little belter...but those are big 'ifs' IMO and not ones that I am personally willing to take a punt on right now.

But for those who feel differently, well, that is what makes a market and good luck to you.

Quite a few I would imagine. Some have now gone the way of the dodo. A few others are almost certainly going to follow suit in the next year or so.

All had/have the same rock star wage bills, irrespective of performance, outcomes, or most of all, delivering shareholder value.

In fact, they might simply be an effective vehicle for ensuring that investors never need worry about having to pay a capital gains tax bill :) Apologies for the gallows humour, but I could not resist. The share sale the other day was annoying to see, but a trifling amount, and nothing to scare the horses IMO.

It would be nice to see more inside buys when the window is open for them to do so. It would also more generally be nice to see some increased liquidity too, but that is not really in their gift.

Meanwhile I have pretty much given up on setting buy orders here. I am not going to chase the price, so will likely just sit tight for the next update now. GLA.
