We are currently just over 3% holding between 10 of us who have replied so far but we would need 10% to call an EGM

Olly i dont see what point you are trying to make? How is wanting to call an EGM treating it like a playground? I get it if you have written off your holding already that it might not seem worth fighting what seems like inevitable 19/1 dilution but there is still chance to ammend the scheme and avoid total wipeout (or try to raise 4x mcap between us)

The board are supposed to do everything in their power to protect shareholders.. (even if we are back of the queue there is no need of 19/1 wipeout) shareholders will still have to vote on this.. and the board should know there is a real prospect of the vote failing to pass.. which will not lead to the best outcome for claimants either.

Seems pointless and self defeating to inconvenience people AND get lower average ticket price..

When can we get a write-up in as much detail as this cineplex article? :)

Aiminvestor - the current shareprice doesnt determine how much we will end up with..

£1.83/share is not out of the question just because the current shareprice is 4p.. things can change quickly.

My fingers are crossed for either no sale or a sale that will pay everyone, including shareholders atleast £1.83 per share so mooky can even get his LTIP reward

Public prices for shorting dont mean a thing if a big holder agrees to lend someone their shares for a fixed price behind closed doors.. almost all of the trading volume of Cine shares are done Off-book to avoid shareprice spikes.

Swear people make it up as they go along.. so far tonight iv read 7bn and 8bn debt.. its $6bn ffs

The last couple minutes of the court recording.. listen to the judges comments he thanks mr sussberg for educating him on where the industry is and how much market share the company has managed to maintain and increase.. saying hes not sure of the outcome whether Cine will sell or internalise etc.. sounds like the judge will be swayed to allow them to reorganise internally if no suitable buyers found.. which i still think will be the best outcome for all of us

Even if they bought Cineworld they still wouldnt have 1000 cinemas ;)

Btw he said it at around the 41:45 - 42 min mark if you wanted to listen again.. theres a lot of the recording i cant even understand as its very muffled.. in this day and age theres no need for sound to not be crystal clear

I think the judge was wrong when he says it looks like the company/industry is in a state of flux that would have happened sooner or later with or without covid.. Cineworld had never ran a loss making year in its history. Without covid/covid restrictions/mass media panic campaign and studios holding back movies we would have been in the best years of the company..

This is one option.. but the signs are not showing yet or we would see the bouncebackability of the shareprice
