I’m wondering whether, when we settled the mediapolis debt to the banks, at what looked on paper like a very good deal, not least because first charge to the land came with it , that in fact the bank (s) retained title to the villas , knowing that that is where any value in mediapolis lay ?
Presumably if that is the case then the title holders on the villas can carry on and utilise them as an asset beyond the reach of the winding up proceedings .
So it looks like we bought a credit note that is worthless because as far as I can see there are no other assets to dispose of?
Anyway , I believe the failure on mediapolis has been priced in for a long time and agree this has been oversold .

Not exactly old news, just confirmation of what was expected. It seems like getting on and doing what you've said you're going to do is not exciting enough for the market these days. I added 189646 yesterday @ 1.469 which seems quite attractive as a longer term bet, although with the exception of an early farm out on Dewar substantial news is a way off. But that doesn't make the potential gains here any less in the longer term....or the risks any less real.

Hi Nigel , I did state when I bought back in a week or so back . Wisely you probably don’t follow every post on here!

You spend too much time speculating on others motives . My comments are never made with the aim of reducing the price , only to better understand what is going on here . I hold the same 2 million @0.33, so down £1400. I nearly added @0.274 this morning but the MMs were teasing, although a few buys sneaked in.
Like anyone holding I would love a bit of positive news and a rise in price . Even those supposedly on a free ride must be alarmed how low this has gone .

It was a light hearted reference to a possible reason why they haven’t resumed mining ( I.e they forgot where they parked their mobile mining unit when they ceased mining) . I notice you suggested they stopped mining because the unit was switched off because they hadn’t paid their electric bills. Care to elaborate??

RKB: that’s not true. I have always raised questions about what we might expect from this process and why the former mediapolis Creditors accepted such a reduced settlement. Presumably they were more in the know as to what rewards might be eventually be forthcoming from the liquidation/ bankrupt process .

This has generally been in response to those ( not you) who just state that we’ve got 10 villas and when they’re sold we’ll get a load of money .

Nobody know who owns the villas, what they are worth or what their fate is ( or has been ). I would very much like CLP to receive their full unsecured creditors position (€8m ) from their sale . Bu there doesn’t seem to be much mention of it in the recent communication from the company .

Presumably that has implications in regards to what happens with the assets and how any proceeds are distributed? I don’t know of any assets other than the villas .?

When they originally thought they had only 3 months to appeal they RNSd at the end of that period to say the deadline was actually 6 months but nevertheless they had instructed their lawyers to draft an appeal ....then nothing , other than a mention in their business update that the whole process had carried on in assigning the land to the bidder, despite there still being time to appeal . Not good on all sides ...

They should have announced it nonetheless.

It’s hard to know if trades are buys or sells at present . Can get quoted 1.68 to sell but will appear as a buy . It’s more likely that was a sell but we’ll never know . However the bid has been edging up in recent days .

P.S. what your saying , which has actually been clear to those of us with limited knowledge , is that any money that comes in will go straight back out to Eufingest. They will keep us going until they get their money back for sure , and if CLP is successful with Sipiem etc I’m sure they have a plan to absorb the rest . Not much left for shareholders .... ( as you correctly point out has been the case on the other share )

Thank you RKB for your latest detailed pronouncement on this share . By the law of averages you may eventually be proved correct and those Olympic swimming pools will be filled with tears of joy rather than , as currently, investors sorrow.

Removing all my posts won't make the loan a better bet. This new facility MAY be just whats needed to push us over the line on a few projects and get some money in. But exactly the same was said of a short term loan last year which has been extended at least twice since, so as Knigelk says, be cautious of reading too much into it.

Can’t even sell a fivers worth here at the moment . I notice a ‘1’ trade slipped through earlier , although more often than not these are just people playing games. There is news due however. Maybe they have finally found the trailer park where the mining unit was parked up . Now where are the keys? ;)
