The delay verges on the edge of sadism :))) but, if we are realistic, the IIs own 70% of the Co so they have their own plan to follow, Management focuses on the project (Early Works completion at eoJune hopefully), so they don't care too much about PIs' complaints.
IMO, as the financing will not come from US banks and even if in USD, Chinese and ME Banks do not need to wait for Fed's meetings; IRate expectations are reflected daily in the money markets and in any case, big banks can hedge, use Forwards, Swaps etc to position themselves. Also, yes the AGM is important but the Co needs funds to pay PowerChina upon completion of the EarlyWorks.
The only thing I have to speculate on is a) RNS stated "shortly" for the conclusion so I am not sure if a week+ delay (i.e. beyond the AGM) is defined by shortly and b) wouldn't the Co prefer to have the RNS out of the way BEFORE the Agm (and comment on it during the AGM), rather than have irate shareholders pester the Board during the AGM about the lack of an RNS?
