Thought this was an interesting example of UKEF funding in that there didn't seem to be a firm export contract linked to the funding. The funding seems to allow investment in UK operations on the expectation of helping the business win overseas contracts.

Energy Security Secretary, Claire Coutinho, is expected to say:

National Gas is investigating the potential of hydrogen transportation in the country’s current gas infrastructure to support the net-zero transition. It is hoped that up to 5,000 jobs will be delivered through the offshore wind sector and related industries.

The launch of the strategy was welcomed by Wind Energy Ireland.
