How do you see PETROS's part in all of this playing out after the article? Is this a case of the good cop / bad cop by the Government and PETROS to get things changed? Leveraging change with the GAS sector.

Irishdemon did you attend the AGM, it looks from your previous posts that it looked like you intended to? Any genuine feedback would be good. I’m invested and couldn’t make it so any input, facts and gut feelings from the AGM would be most welcome.

I agree, Wish it hadn't come down to this. I had this share because it felt like a safe pair of hands with lots of long term investors and a lot of ground work already done by the BOD....Good working relationships existing in the area and a strong network of people working on the project. I said this the other day that people after the AGM felt positive.

It is getting to the point where clarity is needed....Is Petro's still part of the working relationship with UPL, Are we looking solely at the government for the license? Is anything on the cards even if delayed, what are the current time lines?

At the moment this is in limbo & nobody likes uncertainty, it just causes instability and confusion. So new's of any kind I think would be most welcome.... & that's not being impatient, it's just needing some clarity on the situation with no smoke and mirrors. Strong hints that things are on track etc need to become firm news for all involved.

(MrBaroucek what's your gut feeling on this if you were throwing the dice...Just out of curiosity ?)

Shareholders such as myself are obviously slightly nervous after the article by Petros.

I know people who went to the AGM and they came away feeling positive.

It's a sensitive time in Sarawak and UPL have been caught in the political landscape at the moment.

It looks like things are starting to be sorted out and I believe UPL are on that list.

Personally I think they will navigate this.

Leafie, surely this is the interesting point.....if it has nothing to do with UPL then this would be extremely misleading to shareholders. So one can only presume that UPL is implying that they are one of the two in the process of having a license granted? I wouldn't like to think we are being led down the garden path with this post on 'X' if it actually has no reference at all to do with what UPL are doing? (apart from name dropping a few companies, that would be odd?).

So fingers crossed it's a very strong and genuine pointer to UPL itself.

Does this Exclusive UPL contract refer to a period of time eg (the medium-term strategy) allowing for drilling?

Alongside additional technical studies by PETROS (which plays into a longer-term strategy) ?

Surely success in UPL drilling along with studies plays out perfectly for Sarawak. win win.

UPL will then also enter the bidding for further parts of the block when it starts. (hopefully favourably looked on due to the working relationship so far)

Ok now the shorters and shenanigans is over, please take the time to read each sentence carefully in the last RNS because all the clues are here in what UPL are saying, (I also think PETROS is correct in their statement also)

Further to the recent RNS, Upland (REITERATES), the Company has been in communication with the Sarawak State Government, the final authority for Onshore O&G Assets in Sarawak, to secure an interest in a production sharing contract on Block SK334.

Government Announcement

Block SK334 “Petros is wrapping up a Joint Technical Study and we are looking forward to the potential drilling of an exploration well in 2025” (11th October 23).

In preparation for this, following the completion of the Joint Technical Study, Upland has advanced its preparations to deliver an exploration drilling programme to meet this announcement.

Following its application for an exclusive award with the Government and Petros the Company has built an experienced team, made up of local and international experts, who are ready to commence operations on Block SK334.

In the terms and conditions of the signed Joint Technical Study Agreement between Upland and Petros, and as a medium-term strategy, Upland has certain unique advantages over other potential bidders in a competitive bidding process.

Joint Venture and Funding Partners

Additionally, Upland has identified potential partners for funding and operatorship of the SK334 Production Sharing Contract as a long-term strategy.
