Totally agree thunder. What I’m not quite understanding is the delay with the announcement? If it is a delay? The political landscape is regarding gas and offshore. Petronas and PETROS maybe deliberating the sole gas distribution but should this be delaying the Block decision? I do find it slightly confusing. Surely Sarawak would be making a point by handing out licenses? I understand the sensitivity around the whole O&G in the area and its political importance. Hopefully news soon. Can you report being under a NDA (without giving any details) or does that break the NDA by just by saying that ?

An unusual amount of trades happened this afternoon between 3 & 4pm today & was that big 5m share transaction a buy or sell (I can’t work it out, think it’s a buy?) fingers crossed for some news. But maybe I’m just looking for anything! As long as it’s good 😊

This is a positive outlook, I can’t see announcements being far away now. It does look like this is all resolved, no more squabbling back and forth about the laws on the shelf etc. UPL are well placed to receive the PSC and crack on with work. They’ve been waiting long enough to start this l, fingers crossed no more hiccups once the announcement of the final details of the Sarawak O&G deal is announced. News after any update would be greatly appreciated

I'v read a few more articles this week & the tone seems to be changing to more of a collaborative working solution. A mentality of working together to achieve what Sarawak wants......Big buys on Friday, is this about to find a solution for all involved. Has the posturing now changed to middle ground over the past few days. Not much information really coming but is that because serious negotiations have been happening around the table.

Pressure mounting and Sarawak definitely legally believe in their case.

It does have the feeling of Petronas playing silly buggers, But they are fighting over Millions !!!

I have no doubt a resolution was close when the article was tweeted on UPL. Who knows what is going on

exactly behind closed doors. This does relate to offshore & gas so not directly related to UPL, It feels more of a distraction that just needs resolving. Let's hope this is Petronas's last throw of the dice in negotiations & good news regarding this follows........If it doesn't get resolved then surely focus will return to other matters such as upstream oil and gas etc. Because all that is going to happen is a lengthy process with lawyers. Sarawak state it is their land 200 miles out at sea and they can control gas supply from here (simple). It's definitely their land which you can walk on and drill which is UPL's interest.

The tone has changed again, interesting they are accusing Petronas of a push pull attitude in finalising this. But I do think other work will carry on whilst this is being sorted, the Sarawak can’t just be on pause whilst Petronas tries to fight the case.

My understanding is that this is a different issue because it relates to the down stream gas supply and distribution and offshore drilling. UPL is in deferent negotiations (onshore) as far as I'm aware but due to the political wrangling recently it has lead to these delays whilst these issues are resolved. So my interpretations is once this is resolved everyone can get back down to their day job and can move on. In the meantime UPL has been working closely with the government?

Well it looks like we have settled into some sort of pattern this month. Anyone selling off shares are happily being bought up. The confidence shown by the major share holders is a big positive. I'm fingers crossed for a good update this month.

But happy to see shares being snapped up along the way. 😊GLA
