It does have the feeling of Petronas playing silly buggers, But they are fighting over Millions !!!
I have no doubt a resolution was close when the article was tweeted on UPL. Who knows what is going on
exactly behind closed doors. This does relate to offshore & gas so not directly related to UPL, It feels more of a distraction that just needs resolving. Let's hope this is Petronas's last throw of the dice in negotiations & good news regarding this follows........If it doesn't get resolved then surely focus will return to other matters such as upstream oil and gas etc. Because all that is going to happen is a lengthy process with lawyers. Sarawak state it is their land 200 miles out at sea and they can control gas supply from here (simple). It's definitely their land which you can walk on and drill which is UPL's interest.
