The St David's mine is a dog, it was a great exploration place on a Sunday morning in the 70s for amateur alluvial gold mining and panning.
Once the hype is over its put to bed for a few years before being sold on.
It's never going to be a commercial financially viable gold mine.
Grab samples of over 120 g/t gold are usually wheeled out,(very selective ones)
If ever you read the full history of the mine, ( I had a mate who had to be rescued from it) what it produced, why it closed, where it lies, health and safety concerns, you will realise that it is fool's gold.
But the media loves a good story, especially when it involves royalty having Welsh gold rings.
