NEWSBREAK: US raises tariffs on Chinese minor metals, ferro-alloys to 25%
US tariffs on a number of Chinese minor metals and ferro-alloys have been increased to 25%, affecting shipments of material from China from today, Friday May 10.

Minor metals and ferro-alloys affected by the latest tariffs include: bismuth, cadmium, gallium, germanium, germanium dioxide, selenium, tellurium, silicon, magnesium, mercury, arsenic, rhenium, hafnium, ferro-tungsten, ferro-vanadium, ferro-silicon, ferro-manganese, vanadium pentoxide, titanium, cobalt sulfate, cobalt metal and cobalt tetroxide. China-Europe ferro-vanadium price gap widens while Europe demand lags
The differential between the Chinese and European ferro-vanadium prices has continued to widen since the beginning of March, with European demand lagging behind and prices in Europe now trading at its lowest level since November 2017.

Currently, the price gap between the Chinese and European markets has widened to around $8.50-11 per kg, according to Fastmarkets data. The most recent Fastmarkets MB’s weekly export price assessment for ferro-vanadium, min 78%, fob China, was $50-54 per kg on April 25, flat week on week. While Fastmarkets MB price assessment for ferro-vanadium, 78% min, delivered duty-paid in Europe stood at $41.50-43 per kg on May 1, unchanged from the previous assessment. At the beginning of March, Fastmarkets MB’s weekly export price assessment for ferro-vanadium, min 78%, fob China, stood at $73-76 per kg, while Fastmarkets MB's twice-weekly price assessment for ferro-vanadium, 78% min, delivered duty-paid in Europe, was $75-76 per kg. The constantly widening price disparity between the Chinese and European markets has made it difficult to sell material in the Chinese export market, market sources in China told Fastmarkets. From memory I held shares here 6/7 years @ around 23p could have been 27p it was the week that the original planning permission was knocked back and it was the talk of town that if it was granted the sky was the limit.
Sold out at a loss the next day when planning was refused.
Dabbled again a few years later @7p sold out and recovered previously losses @11p.
Until there is a very bright light at the end of the tunnel LTHs Imo will suffer significant dilution, long term budgets are dangerous guidance as they often increase along with delays and setbacks.
Whether the endgame is profitable for holding long term is the $64 million question.
The postive is that the world will always need feeding.

Got to say that I never see the case for PI's being stuck in a share because of losses incurred.
My strategy over the years has been one of if I think another stock has more chance of making up the losses I have incurred I will sell at a loss and reinvest in the new stock that you have researched and think has better prospects.
Selling at a loss and moving on just doesn't compute with some people as they say to themselves I haven't lost anything until I sell. a psychological barrier.

Curiosity killed the cat.

It's very easy to read trolls posting history and some even reveal their personal life.
What always springs to mind and gets me thinking is at what age do they tell their children who ask about their worklng career, do they come clean and tell them that they're an Internet troll.(the lowest form of life),
