Apologies if I am missing something, but what are the indicators and/or information in the public domain that point to a 28 day extension?
Guys and girls - please dont take my comments seriously - Im just trying to inject a bit of satire
I used the old dart board method - 3 dart thrown at the board and then by using a secret mathematical formula to calculate!
BTW Warburg Pincus International are the chosen ones for the takeover!!!
OO OO its time to top up again, at these prices who can afford not to. Its such a good banker that the AA 's share price is so undervalued Oo Oo. I've come back in and brought 600,000 shares, i'm gonna be rich and tell everyone about it.
Get real ....... the AA are worth jack **** as, as seems the case, there is a huge debt mountain. If any bid comes it will be for no more than 4-p - nothing to get excited about if you brought in a year or two years ago!!
Decided to bail out this morning as I don't think the end result of the current negotiations is going to end well for us shareholders. This of course is only my opinion. I'm made a small profit from these shares and i'm sticking to the principle that - profit is profit. I just this there are better opportunities out there. Good luck to those who stay in till the end of the current process, I hope you are all rewarded. You deserve it, for staying on the rollacoster.
The MM's will more the price down, assisting their Institutional mates to buy more at a lower price! The price fluctuations are due to volatility, not in the wider market, but to do with the unknowns around any possible bids. Its quite possible that there will be no bids at all, but IMHO that would be unlikely.
The problem here is that retail investors such as ourselves can easily get spooked by price fluctuations, assuming the worse. Hold steady, unless you are satisfied with the profit you hold (then cash in), or if you don't want to cut your losses and bail out then stay in for the ride. Remember the fundamentals of this company are no different to a year ago, when the price was >60p. What has changed is that profits have increased, we are waiting a trading statement that should have some positive aspects and the results of whether a bid has actually been lodged. Good luck with, what are tricky decisions.
Who knows, but my estimate is between 57-65p
Wiseman posts some really interesting stuff, a very informed individual indeed. I thoroughly recommend having a look on ADVN
The latest RNS confirms that the shorters are starting to run for cover, this will really help start to move things upward. The H1 results, whilst not stellar will also help.
Indeed it would be nice, but sadly didnt happen. However, my view is that we will see 25p broken this week and a rise up to 30p by the time the results are released. Only an opinion of course, but surely this share is still seriously under-priced.
Looks like another of the price going south.
Agreed Trev - They seem to have a bias against AA!
A very sombre article in Investors Chronicle on Thursday - Not a good read for investors!!
https://www.investorschronicle.co.uk/tips-ideas/2020/06/25/aa-running-out-of-road/
Thanks very much for that.
mariog - sorry if I am asking an obvious question, but is it a good thing if the bonds are trading higher?
Congratulations, your clearly well ahead of the game!
As we all know investing is tricky at the moment and the markets are being spooked by any 'bad news', regardless of its actual effect. In recent months we have been here with the AA before, price rises and price falls, most of it based on market sentiment, not the actual performance of the company. In a previous post, I referenced the fact that its unlikely we will now see any real upward movement until the company report on H1. I stand by this, but at these prices this company is seriously undervalued. I'd buy more but the pot is dry so will sit on the 100k I currently hold and wait.
Wait for the H1 data and report, this will make a positive difference!!
In other words nothing concrete, tangible or objective!
And please do tell what is you know as your basis for saying this?
