One acronym - OTC

Parps - on the question of long-term UK holders such as ourselves being able to trade XBIO on OTC - this has been a long-standing problem to which, as far as I'm aware, there is no ideal solution. The Company has made various efforts to facilitate trading, none of them ideal. I myself have long since given up any notion of selling while we remain on OTC - not only has the liquidity and hence the spread been appaling until very recently, but I believe problems in achieving funding and a pathway to NASDAQ uplist has meant a depressed SP for most of the last two years. With news of OKSO taking a stake, and some renewed activity in trading, this looks as if it may be about to change. For myself, I plan to hold on until EPO is licensed out and we're on NASDAQ, at the very minimum.

I agree with you there - the level of communication since we went Stateside has reached a new low, even for a junior pharma. Personally, I'm in the lap of the gods, can't sell even if I want to, until we reach NASDAQ or wherever our CEO has set course for.

Open market? How could they do that? - 6.3%, that's 16m+ shares of the enlarged shares in issue. Apart from Friday's 800k traded, we've been averaging less that 20k a day. At that rate it would take three years plus, even if they bought every share available. No, someone has sold to OPKO privately - it's not the lock-in boys (see last November's S-7) so it must be someone else. We'll find out who and at what price when OPKO do their filing.

XBIO ceased trading in 1997. Nobody bothered to inform shareholders.

instead of repeatedly coming on this forum asking for help in clarifying your personal circumstances, may I suggest you contact the source, i.e your broker. He will be far more able to guide you through your problems. I imagine you have "bearer certificates" because they are proof that you own shares in a company which is not in the UK any more, but in the US. Furthermore, I would treat them as valuable and keep them securely. But do address your questions to your broker.

"Shares in Baxalta shot up almost 11% during intraday trading on Tuesday, following reports that Shire was preparing a new takeover offer for the biotech firm. About four months ago, Baxalta (NYSE:BXLT) rejected an unsolicited $30B offer, saying it significantly undervalued the company. A takeover would create one of the world's leading specialists in rare diseases and follows Shire's recent $5.9B purchase of rare disease firm Dyax."

It looks increasingly like we are on track for a major market around end Q1 2016. If that is the case, we should expect application to the SEC very soon. I'm not sure how relevant the Shire/Baxalta shenanigans are to us - whatever the name of the eventual winner, we will almost certainly continue our collaborations, and they will have their (now diluted) shareholding in us. There's always the remote chance of left-field events of course, but with the recent Virexxa/Pharmsythez deal, my expectation is that we will continue on the path Maguire has indicated, obscure though it sometimes seems. As for recent SP volatility, I'm torn between it being a rather cynical share-gathering exercise, given the lack of liquidity, or just an old fashioned pump then dump when news that NASDAQ uplisting was not so imminent became clear. At least we have recovered somewhat. I expect more of the same so hold tight.

All well and good, but at the rate Baxter (now Baxalta) operates, the only money this old peer is likely to see from Factor VIII is milestone payments.

Zee, it needs to be $4+ to meet listing requirements if we're going for NASDAQ, so expect a consolidation. Not sure about other major markets.
