Well I took a few more on the basis of that bid. It could be smoke and mirrors, and there are still 100k shares on offer at 9.20, despite the ask being hit repeatedly, but I'm optimistic.

Just to add - there are of course many other scenarios too - an expected corporate action, for example - but either way, it's very usual to have such a large volume bid, and at such a premium to the nominal bid.

No comment at all on my last post, the content of which is extraordinary - for the last hour or two yesterday, there were a quarter of a million shares bid at 9p. That, in a share which rarely has more than 50k bid, and often just 25k or less.
Now it could of course be just MM bluff, and the bid might vanish under just a few small sells - stranger things have happened - but in my year or so in and out of this share I have not seen such a large bid before. The usual status these past few months has been a weak bid, to allow the SP to be driven down at the slightest sign of pressure. So either someone is very confident that news is coming soon or someone is trying to drive some buying, underpinned as it appears to be by this huge bid.

I don't believe you can quantify where we should be; AIM has been sh*t for months now, in a deep bear market that, for the most part, people are reluctant to hold in, unless they are stuck with a loss. In a half-decent market, yes, we'd be above NAV somewhere, as we have historically been, but this is currently not a half-decent market, so we need solid news that directly affects our bottom line to move us off the floor.

Well said, Rob, an uptick from me. FFWD always say they can't release news until the investees report something, but in my opinion that's a weak excuse. As you highlight below, there is plenty they can do. We've been on a downward trend for almost a year now, and in the doldrums for at least four or five months, oscillating between 8.5 - 10.5. All well and good that the Directors don't take salaries, but please, a little more attention to detail and some thoughful proactivity!

DoMaar - it devolves to what the market cap is after the next funding round, and after that, to the potential IPO, and the valuation put on that. That is where incremental values accrue.

I have no doubt of that, Chilpotts, it's just that FFWD has a habit of blundering with their announcements that shows no sign of abating - latest example being a few weeks ago when they issued a two-year-old RNS.

Sorry Dogs, you're right. I was confusing the $6m with the further $9m. That is the point I'd like to have clarity on - in the RNS you post below, it states 'not later than 30 September', yet here we are seven months later with no confirmation it was executed or not - I suspect not, since we've had no RNS. In which case it is reasonable to ask what is going on.

We've also never had confirmation that the $6m was invested in Factom, have we? If not, I rather think that it would be contrary to AIM rules, had the funds been invested and not RNSed.

They of course mean Series A, not Series B in the last paragraph.

Wouldn't life be grand if financial deals, lawyers etc could be synchronised with anniversaries?
