Hi the 149m ut is completely normal for a ftse100 closing auction.jd has 4.8billion shares in issue so 149million is only about 3% of the equity well within the range for the month ends plus ftse cutoff rebalancing.

big passive funds routinely move 3-10% of a company equity in the close so yes it was rebalancing, and the size is exactly what you'd expect on a day like this.

expect the price to retract down from Monday,and then back up in time for World Cup June 11th
