Ziggy – of course.
It might be something, might be nothing, but it might be informative to see how other private companies communicate with their shareholders. i.e. frequency and method of communications, depth of data, interaction, ability to trade shares and so on.
There might (equally might not) be a pattern that we can benchmark against once comms actually begin, or at least help set expectations.
Also, I assume people think comms will be via RNS-R, but is that how most private companies communicate? An RNS-R must come via an “authorized body” according to the (other) LSE website. So, it might be useful to see which bodies some of these private companies use to handle their messaging. Basically, how easy / hard is it to issue an RNS-R.
People forever banging on about comms never seem to articulate in detail what type of comms they expect nor offer any reference point for comparison. There is more credibility in presenting this type of info than just clutching your pearls in endless outrage. It’s all about the data, assuming it shows us something useful.
This also assumes the company plans to continue as a private going concern, of course other outcomes are also possible.
No problem, lets see if others have some suggestions
Yes I mean ASX as well - the website was last updated over a year ago, thanks again.
Thanks baramara - I couldn't find a page for it here on LSE but its website says it is still listed on AEX, maybe the site is out of date.
I should have added - also ideally have delisted prior to the FRC delist
Does anyone know of any delisted companies that are -
- ex-AIM,
- not temporarily suspended due to AIM rules,
- declared they intend to operate as a private company,
- and ideally, has an active page here on LSE
Thanks
Abkaz - lol.
But nice use of the word "we". Subtle move.
Thats a great find cymro1864.
I wonder if she rubbed shoulders with SN who was still very involved with the Atlantic Council at the time.
Jv123 - and this really is my last post on this. In your last 20 posts "discussing' FRC you are in fact discussing me in 13 of them. That should baffle anyone.
Hi Lifeishard - It is just another cycle of troll like activity. They post, then get a reply, then try to twist is as though they are being attacked / offended / insulted and its other party that is the issue, accuse any replier as touchy / rude / has ulterior motives to try and ferment division, then go quiet for a while, then try to start the whole thing again. It's incessant on other boards so we are lucky in that regard.
Regarding court news, there should be some movement in August - barring any continuance - in Mourant v SN. As FRC v Mourant settled out of court, let's hope that was a global settlement that covers this case as well.
The US Senate has confirmed a new Ambassador to Georgia. Dunnigan is a seasoned political player with a track record in energy related policies and will take up her position soon. This is her bio from her now completed State Dept role -

A career member of the Senior Foreign Service with the rank of Minister Counselor, Ms. Dunnigan joined the State Department in 1992. She served as Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Department of State’s Bureau of Energy Resources from August 2014 to August 2017. In this role, she directed U.S. energy diplomacy to ensure that energy resources were used to promote sustainable global economic growth and stability and strengthen U.S. national security.
Ms. Dunnigan has also served at U.S. embassies in Vietnam, Chile, Turkey, Cuba and El Salvador, working extensively on trade and investment, energy, and sanctions issues. Jv123 - its a little bit bonkers the number of posts you have talking about me. You are either courting me for information with - "To help me sleep better at night, could you elaborate further" or complaining about me.
A pity you couldn't use that time constructively researching for information or trying to make inroads with the company yourself. If you can't be bothered then don't feel affronted when people who do make the effort present information here. If you don't want to rely on me for information, then don't.
You would be more credible if you popped on and asked "anyone have a project I can take on that I can devote some time to so we can better understand our situation?".
So please change track as your present course of action is helping no one. I won't reply to these why-oh-why messages anymore and hope you are able to find the info you are looking for.
Thanks toatie and hope you are keeping well.
And it is divisive to talk about “them and us” and “selected shareholders” that perpetuates the unrest you keep harping on about. You presumably come here for information about the company but try to sow seeds of dissent by complaining about the information gathering from which you benefit. Bizarre.
What does “selected shareholders” even mean – they put our names in a hat and some got lucky? Again, you try to create division.
The company did not proactively “exclude” you. It is merely that you did not (assuming you tried to) present yourself as a resource that could be useful at various points in time and which could have resulted in some degree of reciprocity.
A cold, calculating, corporate entity - especially one that is a Caymans Exempt entity - isn’t going to crack because of a few people frothing and foaming on a BB.
Lets end this discussion there.
So, no plan of action that I can see.
The company has already released a number of formal statements in the press which include statements on Outrider, ZM and its relations with the GG and its engagement in Georgia. I am sorry that those formal releases don’t fit whatever bespoke messaging delivery service you prefer.
The fact that a few shareholders have managed to penetrate the company iron curtain, who do what they can to hold on to these tenuous relationships, and pass on whatever they can here has no bearing on the decision by the company to hold off on direct comms until a time of their choosing.
I have lost count of the number of times I see “any news” and then endless complaining when I get some. It is self-defeating to take the efforts of those with an “in” and use said efforts as a way to bash the company. Why would anyone share anything?
Complain away about direct comms but don’t close the door on the few who are doing all they can to get something from the company and who occasionally succeed.
Avi8r – that did make me chuckle.
Ah, the old “time we did something” call to arms is back. You are so angry and outraged at the lack of comms that you –
1 – gave up trying, and instead,
2 – expect others to do the “something” for you based on some vague suggestion.
What does your idea of “something” mean? What concrete proposals and course of action(s) are you suggesting? Are you willing to take charge of these initiatives?
No? Easier to get shady with the people who didn’t give up and are actually doing the “something” you yourself aren’t willing to do.
I have previously explained why they talk to me. It is ridiculous to think they only talk to one shareholder (we already know that isn’t the case as another holder kindly shares their messaging). This BB represents but a small % of shareholders.
Attack and complain all you want about the company but leave me out of it.
Thanks ZyDer / Ziggy
If news is related to court dates it might be a few weeks before we hear anything new.
In some “sort of” related news – figures just released show the GG / GD spent US$1.9m on lobbying in 2021. US$320K was spent lobbying for FRC. This was the time of the senator’s letters and similar moves to support the company.
The filings state the GG / GD money was spent lobbying “to strengthen bilateral relations on behalf of the foreign principal…and direct foreign investment in Georgia”
Wise words from Abkaz that we should be suspicious of unverified rumours. I also expect thats the first time the words "Abkaz" and "wise" have appeared in the same sentence.
I see that poster never followed through on an earlier promise to start a "Looed Beer Fund". Pity as its almost 5pm for me and i could sink a cold one right now. More so after a brief review of its tedious posting history.
In addition to settling the outstanding amounts from the award, the company must also satisfy the GOGC that it has the technical and financial ability to meet its obligations under any new contract.
Just to add that tot all the costs went against the company and the GOGC were found liable for some costs as well.
In addition, both parties were supposed to pay EUR500K each in upfront costs. In the end the company put in EUR250K with the GOGC paying in the balance EUR250K on the company's behalf. That repayment to the GOGC is included in the $5.7m
