The share price hit an intra-day high of 28p BEFORE the moratorium was lifted and then fell to 19p.

It hit 25p JUST BEFORE the moratorium was lifted and, when it was lifted, DIDN'T MOVE before starting the fall again, so far by more than 50 percent.

Now, that takes some explaining.

Maybe the MMs realize it's only a matter of time now before these shares are recommended and then PIs will be jumping on the bandwagon.

Some posters predicted that the placing would fail.

Others were worried that no date was given.

The placing has now been completed.

I'm not happy, but I don't regret filtering about half-a-dozen posters who apparently have nothing better to do than post spiteful and gloating comments, while ridiculing anyone who dares to hope for a successful outcome.

That's completely untrue.

I and many other LTHs here have been invested for several years - in my case 5.5 - and we wanted to stay with the company through to a successful outcome, which we knew would take years.

I never had a six-month horizon.

The disappointment is that the during that period, the price has gone down even as the company has gone from strength to strength.

We expected the price to reflect the success of the company.

I read one post saying that the price reaction indicated that the raise will fail, yet there are now nearly twice as many buys as sells.
This doesn't get mentioned, as it doesn't fit the narrative of a company going bust.
The fact is that we don't know what's going to happen.

We went through this with first oil and the oil 'drying up.'

There were people who were uncertain HUR would ever produce oil; then there were people who were uncertain they would be able to produce oil for six months; now there are people who are uncertain it will last for a year, or two years, or ten years.

If you want certainty, don't invest in oil companies!

No-one tries to place shares at 48 hours' notice.
It's not even six months since SOU's last placing, they didn't even need to raise money at that time, and they don't even have to pay a CEO's salary any more.

Nor do I think it inevitable that it will be developed.
TOR said there was nothing wrong with it when people were still saying that it couldn't be farmed out because there was something wrong with it.
I don't think APEC pulled out, either; their money was dodgy and that's all.
TOR said that majors showed interest in taking over from APEC and PB's apparent confidence must be based on some such approaches having been made.
What I don't understand is why TOR left and why PB can't do a deal.
Why do they need a new man to talk to the majors?
And if, as sceptics among you may retort, no major is interested, why bother to get a new CEO?
