Why the directors are buying shares is difficult to explain unless they market is badly wrong.

The fall in the share price can be explained by the fact that this is AIM.

If it falls much further, I'll be buying more.

Anyone familiar with my style knows it is far from humourless, but I wouldn't say I think a company or major asset would be sold for 15 p per share when I really think it would be sold for far more.

Can we please be serious when talking about what the company could be worth?

So, a director bought shares at 12 p per share in the hope of making a cool 25 per cent.

And TE-5 would be sold at about a 40 per cent discount, with no value given to the rest of Tendrara.

It looks like fantasy to me, but not untypical of comments on AIM.

E.g. a poster called TriggerSaysDave predicted that JOG would fall to 30 p and announce a rights issue.

Instead, it rose to 70 p and announced a settlement of 750m pounds from Total.

I also recall posters predicting 16 p and 17 p for HUR, with no prospect of recovery, because - supposedly - that's all it was worth.

It's now 58 p and one analyst is valuing it at 102 p per share.

Another has predicted 200 p or 300p within 18 months.

'The companies performance has been so miserable for years that even if it's 15p plus contingency payments it's a cracking investment for new money at these levels...'

Does your 15 p per share include TE-5?

I agree with you that, for all the reasons you give, the share price is far too low, but many people do still think that share prices reflect the true value of a company.

How many times have there been bidding wars for a company, with the share price rising on each bid?

What reason is there to think that SOU is somehow inherently different?

Would you please remind us of how much cash SOU has left?

If Malcy is really saying that he thinks the company is worth 12 p per share, then would he please explain why he thinks a director has just paid 12 p per share for 150,000 shares?

Are you distinguishing between the sale price of Tendrara and that of the whole company?

I think many - possibly most - people still assess the health and prospects of a company by examining the share price and share price history.

But what if the market has got it wrong?

Interesting.

If someone suggests that the shares are now a bargain and could reach a pound, he gets called 'bonkers' and is reminded that we've been 'shafted'.

Other posters say the price cannot rise much from here.

I hope that whoever are proven wrong will admit so.

Let's not talk ourselves in that the company is going to be sold for its current market value or that anyone is going to lose his life savings.

We will have to wait and see.

I myself have found this very aggravating and it hasn't helped my health either, but I'm not expecting to make/take a loss on my investment.

After my experiences with HUR, SOU, JOG, PVR, LOGP, FOG and VOG, the conclusion I have come to is that there is no point in buying shares in any company on AIM in the belief that it has good prospects.

One may as well wait until the price has collapsed before even dipping one's toes in the water.
