RE: The worrying reality29 Sep 2019 23:28
It's getting close to four months since SOU announced it would market Tendrara.
One of SOU's directors (I think I remember which one, but last time I got it wrong and one poster took the opportunity to create a ridiculous digression, accusing me of all manner of things, so I'm not going to identify the director) was reported to have predicted that the closing date for submission of bids would be well before 31 October.
Taking these facts together, it is difficult to believe that that date has not yet passed.
If so, and if the bids were so derisory that the BOD couldn't bring themselves to recommend any of them to shareholders, we would surely have been so informed by now.
I deduce therefore that reasonable offers have been made, although that does not mean that all investors would recover all their losses in the event of a successful bid.
Of course, I could be wrong and the deadline is some time this week, or the bids are not reasonable and the BOD are trying to get better terms in order to save face, but the fact that we haven't heard anything for so long suggests to me that a deal is still possible.
