btw you cannot have inside information on inflation figures for next year, only someones forecast for inflation. It has already been reported that inflation has been forecast to rise further - the debate has now moved on to whether it is transitory or not.

Hope it isn't at the 8% level (you are obviously talking CPI) as RPI is normally higher.
That would potentially mean a big real terms cut in my pension, if at that rate next October.
