Lloyds ADR's are traded on Wall street - these go up and down like any other ADR's depending on supply/demand just as the Lloyds shares quoted on the London stock exchange do.

Lloyds shares hit 50p about 7 months ago, so a rise from the start of the year from below 50p to the current 52p is a bit early to say it continues to rise based on just 3 trading days.
Investors I imagine are now giving thought to what the full year results will reveal next month and the potential for good returns to shareholders.

Yes a long time ago - bought into the privatisations at the time.
I think i made about a 30% profit on day 1 of British Gas.

I am honest with all my stocks - most of my trades are posted at the time they are made.
I WILL be in a better position with Centrica eventually

I will not be selling any of my Shell or BP anytime soon even though I am already well up.
There is for example a big gap still between the current Shell price and the about 2760p
that I sold at on 15th May 2018. I can only see returns to shareholders increasing in the near term. BP also well off the 450p that I had previously sold at in the past (29th Sept 2016)

Apart from a brief hold of British gas on flotation (I probably sold on first day of trading),
I got into Centrica again when I thought it a good idea to get Centrica dividends to pay for my British gas energy bills.
First purchase at 367p.
In more recent times I think 'Sid' after being told, must have passed info onto Sufc who in turn assured the Centrica BB that a winter was going to have freezing temperatures and that British Gas would make a fortune. I had already topped up over the years but relying on the weather expertise of Sufc I purchased a few more.
My lowest purchase was on 9th March 2020 at 60p, but within a few weeks they had dropped to getting close to the 30p figure. I had had enough of Centrica, although not of Shell and BP as you know.

FTSE 100 constituents are determined by market cap with financials and oil making up quite a large percentage on their own.
Techs have had an excellent run in recent years - financials for well known reasons have been in the doldrums for many years - things can change.

I am only 10% cash - to those that are currently mainly cash, maybe you should think about the erosion of value that inflation will bring. Equities are the long term answer to moderate inflation.

Now valued at 3 Trillion dollars.

Even though I made a great deal from this stock having bought it early , the market cap is now a number of times greater now, than when I sold on 14th July 2016

You are not a simpleton buy applying simple logic.
A person will have far better protection from any Covid 19 variant if all available vaccines have been taken, with lesser protection from just having had a previous infection.
For the small minority who have had neither a vaccine or a prior infection, especially in the older population, they can only hope that Omicron will kill fewer of them.
