You seem to have a problem with 650 peoples salaries coming out of taxation but no mention of the other in excess of 5.5 million people.
Why is that?
Do you think it should be a choice as to whether over 5.5 million peoples salaries are being paid out of taxation?
If not then why single out a handful out of 5.5 million?

I think you will find that if anyone pays for a tv license because they have NO choice ,they are helping to pay for the salaries of footballers, even if it is not there choice of money allocation.
Same for being a customer of any company where that company is involved in putting money into the hands of football clubs even if not directly paying for a 'football' package.

as far as I know, members of the HOL do not receive a salary, only allowances/expenses.

Gary Lineker - BBC salary about 16 times more than an MP - paid for by anyone who pays for a tv license.
