yes of course - I am invested for example in IMB which had a double digit yield.

Lloyds at 24p was on a high historic yield - I invested at that level anticipating/hoping for a double digit yield at that price in the not too distant future from that point .

Share price is not determined by the level of dividend - it is determined by profitability and anticipated future profitability, and whether that profitability can sustain a progressive dividend in the coming years.
The last period of dividend payments without a cut remember lasted decades.

Yes, if the BOD expect do no expect a large fall off in profitability this year.
That is a benefit of investments in Lloyds shares, that there is the possibility of a progressive dividend even on flat profitability in the coming years.

week so far - many potential sellers I imagine are holding off in the hope to get a bit more, with the possibility of a flood of money being reinvested into further Lloyds shares starting tomorrow.
