Energy prices will have a dampening effect on demand . I am sure many have already cut down on energy/fuel use. That is not to say that supply will be in surplus anytime soon.
Increasing Interest rates has the effect of increasing borrowing costs for businesses and consumers thereby slowing the economy and in turn inflation.

If a market cap remained constant and a buyback took place, then the share price would rise.
The market determines the value of Lloyds on a daily basis.

ffs - is this never ending.
It is a return to shareholders - it will increase a shareholders percentage ownership of Lloyds. The exact increase in percentage ownership will be dependant on the number of shares the investment can remove.

you and many others really should not constantly look at the ever changing valuation the market places on Lloyds each day. I prefer to look at the profitability and the returns to shareholders that may result. Lloyds currently returning 10%.
