If you are going to make a statement, make sure it fits the logic of the purchase price levels. 21 million shares were purchased yesterday at a price up to 45.55p, well above 50 dma .
It would be difficult to complete a share purchase programme if each days purchases have to be below an average of the previous 50 days.

Firstly the amount bought was not low - 26 compared with 28 average.
Secondly a price level exceeding (probably 5%) above average of the previous 5 trading days would most likely stop the buying altogether- that would not have been the case today, but thirdly the software may refrain from a certain level of purchases (higher) when still at a price level at a reasonable amount above previous 5 days average.
As I said ,today was only about 2 million less than the programme daily average.
The programme will complete within the time frame, so the amount of purchases from day to day is no issue.
