You seem to be saying that you know that they are investing in a certain way now even without any knowledge obtained from HFEL, but that was not the case when you invested . I would have thought that investments have always been made on the same basis - to meet the objective of the trust.

It is called making investments. The trust makes investments to fulfil the aim of the trust . I and most others would invest in an investment trust to let others manage a portfolio rather than than make individual stock investments oneself .
That is the point. I simply am not interested in every purchase and sale transaction they made.

You seem to know about purchasing and sale activities without the trust publishing purchase and sale transactions. Please post the link giving info from the trust showing their 'strategy'.

Th trust have given their objective -

if yo are not happy with their objective then maybe you may wish to stay well clear of HFEL

I am not aware of investment trusts publishing every single purchase and sale transaction - you do however get a frequent update of the holdings held within the trust.
The trust has an investment objective.
Any investor can decide for themselves based on the trusts objectives, whether to make an investment or not . If an investor has concerns then don't invest.

Good to see it trading in a narrow range in recent days.
Looking for at least another £2 Billion buyback in 2023 if money is not spent elsewhere - so maintaining a price below 50p would do just fine
