SMIF - I have drip fed money into this since starting several months ago (anticipating possible further declines),which had already at my first tranche stage been affected by rising long term bond yields. I have bought down to 70p.
My yield is getting on for 9% (monthly income).

I would have thought that Lloyds should have a much higher valuation, but I am content seeing a low valuation maintained whilst buybacks are on the agenda.

That is in reference to getting rid of assets when very old to avoid care home costs.
Unfortunately the upper limit that a person should contribute to care costs that was due to come into play this year has been put on ice.
