As I have said previously though, probably better to look in terms of shares bought as a percentage of the total voting rights as at the start of a repurchase programme.

5-6% per year would be good, which would contribute towards the progressive dividend policy.

Cannot see any disclosed for Lloyds (only fakeys fake £5,000 pp position).

The interim dividend should be a minimum 1p per share

I was NOT predicting 70p for Lloyds in 2024 - I said that Lloyds will reach 70p at some point in the future, whether that is 2025,25,27,28 etc - get things right ffs.

I have an enormous amount of lloyds shares for long term investing. SB's are always for short term fun - are you completely stupid talking about my closing £200 pp SB's.

If the share price ever went down to my for fun SB range then I may do some more to continue my taking a profit on every single SB I have ever done (hundreds)

Lloyds bank and Marstons, just another 2 examples where the market cap is way below net assets.

A business could have little in the way of assets but be highly profitable and another business could be asset rich but making very little profit.

Net assets and profitability are 2 of the factors that the market would take into account when valuing a business.

there are plenty of different scenarios regarding the private Thames water/Kemble water group, which I am not going to go into on a Lloyds banking group board.

Nationalisation would be a political choice not a financial one.
