don't worry, I will only be selling small amounts on sale transactions - I would still have most of my current holding even if it continued to go up in a straight line to a triple digit share price - So no warning needed.

Lloyds share price continuing to increase for those wishing to jump ship.

Continued cheap shares for MS to purchase, if they have restarted the algo.

Marston's well up but just a shame that they will now become a pubs only business.

The dividend will be maintained whilst it can be delivered from income/reserves.

The level of share price will go up and down with the underlying investments/markets - simple.

UK - a soft touch in every way for foreigners to exploit.

and there were those not long ago (you know who you are) were saying that 50p was a ceiling.

Need a MASSIVE amount of selling for the benefit of the buyback, but as usual I will not moan about an increasing share price to allow investors to exit. I will have to console myself that the average 2024 purchases so far have been made well below the Jan 2022 market cap level - not all about per per share.

Well done to those investors locking in 13-16% annual total returns from Lloyds by purchasing not that long ago near the 40p mark - currently with a large capital appreciation as well from those levels.

Current market cap is about £36.8 Billion, still nearly £1 Billion below that as at 7th Jan 2022 (last sale)

and after a number of years of patience to get back level. If I had been in your situation, I would have kept a sensible amount of stock . I diversify, having many stocks in a portfolio, but you gambled on lloyds almost exclusively . Concentration of just one or two stocks can obviously result in larger gains/losses, but you decided not to give it extra time for gains to come through.

Maybe you should diversify a bit more from now on?.

I imagine you would buy a few Lloyds again if you were lucky enough to see lower prices.

No word from NEWCHURCH - she could also sell now to have a choice of many other stocks, but I imagine that missing the moaning about Lloyds is more important to her than alternative investments.

My last sale was at 53p in Jan 2022 , with 4 subsequent purchases ranging between 38p and about 44p with my last purchase at sub 40p.

I will not be making a sale whilst the market cap is below that as at the time of my last sale in Jan 2022.

The markets had priced in peak base rates a long time ago with the question mark as to when the first cut would be made. A number of anticipated cuts (by some) by this time did not materialise. A cut in August is probably no more than 50/50 at this point in time. There should be caution when it comes to getting inflation under control. There have been high wage increases (will Labour fold, in giving junior doctors a substantial rise?). Services inflation was still at 5.7% last time.

The ftse 100 (still cheap) is currently 250 points off of the all time high.

The official opposition should be reduced to asking 4 questions, with the rest worked out in proportion to the share of the vote received by each party at the general election,with a minimum threshold.

It is one thing having the number of seats won having no relationship to the number of votes won , but democracy could be evened up a bit with this change for PMQ's , to give a fairer voice to reflect the split in votes.
