If the NHS were better staffed & had more beds we wouldn't have to lockdown & if the vaccine had been more widespread throughout the globe there is every possibility we wouldn't have Omicron to deal with.

That isn't the case with these vaccines. It may be the case with the yearly Flu jab (but i'm not a vaccine expert). Also, Flu hasn't got weaker over the years & neither have many other viruses, Dengue fever for example ,where vaccines are needed year after year after year...

From what i've gleaned it seems the likelyhood of Covid disappearing & becoming milder is not high, unfortunately.

I've just stumbled upon this article too. About time more notice was paid to K3C.

'Professor Chris Whitty told the Commons Health and Social Care Committee he believes the doubling rate for Omicron will slow down, as it is clear people are already taking precautions.

At a certain point, people will have immunity either from boosters or Omicron infection, which will also slow down the doubling time'

If we're more sensible than Jtan (the all knowing rebel) 'it may come down faster than previous peaks' said the vastly more qualified Professor Whitty.

Dear oh dear, the biggest threat to Omicron running rife are these self proclaimed virus experts that claim to know better than the likes of Whitty & Fauci & WHO.
Omicron is spreading like wildfire. Lockdowns are going to begin again around the globe. It isn't a ploy by some secret society to take control of the populace. It isn't even a Johnson ploy to divert attention from the fact he's the worst PM in living history & it certainly isn't a 'common cold'.
Last year cases peaked around mid January & i think it's reasonable to summise that is likely to be the case again (with lockdown fire breaker). This is going to keep dropping as it is greatly affected by the ability to travel.
I'll take some late Jan, early Feb.

Hermes are absolutely the worst . I wince whenever i see that firm are delivering an item. 9/10 times there will be some sort of problem.

Strange that i've heard/read a handful of big investors talking about how they've bought into RMG after the last earnings update & that RMG are also buying back shares & yet we're seeing nowt in the SP day in day out.
