Got a feeling Burry is bang on the money though. Not so sure about ATrades!
Why is it split or bust? We’re over 3 months in, why hasn’t it already bust? How long until the bust exactly?
I may be deluded but I think there are certain eu nations that would like to bring Russia back into the fold sooner rather than later to ease inflationary pressure.
Also this war has been going on 8 years, with the 1,000,000 residents of Donetsk living under a de facto DPR Government. Is there the appetite there for the Ukrainians to start conflicts here? There will be peace talks at some point. I’m AInvester, ten years from now this will be thankful for this trade. Or I’ll be down 10k knowing it was a fantastic opportunity I had to take!
I really appreciate your reply Just-Another-Bot. I would just like them to continue plodding along paying down debt and undertaking some buybacks at these prices if possible while waiting it out. How likely would they be to get another listing on the LSE at this moment?
Why are people obsessed with the company splitting, its madness. That should be a real last resort. While those mines are still an asset that’s bringing in cash I don’t see the logic. Polymetal can’t endure anymore reputational damage by association than it already has. What would be gained by ditching 60% of the operation? The reason I’m invested here is because I’m clearly getting the Russian part of the business for free! And when the world returns to normality, like it always does, I can enjoy the divis. I’ll want to sue if they decide to cut me out of that exposure without serious grounds.
I never believed there was a real risk thanks to the listing on MOEX. To strip the assets from Poly would harm Russian investors. The odds aren’t nil though. But as we’re seeing with windfall taxes there’s potential for western Gov to not play by the rules.
When the Donbas has been captured I think unfortunately Ukraine will have to concede the area until Putin pops his clogs.
Possibly. I’d rather be early than late.
Thanks CSDI. I haven't kept a close eye on this stock in recent weeks. I traded it well back at it's lows. As the div was suspended and not cancelled, I wasn't sure if the company had given an indication as to whether the original ex div would be used if/when paid. I'll watch this space. Ultimately that dividend in isolation wouldn't greatly impact my thinking. Thanks again
Morning all, I’ve loaded up and will regularly top up from here. I personally think the war will be over sooner rather than later but that’s not a debate for here.
Does any know if the suspended dividend went ex div or will all the Johnny-come-latelys, like myself, grab that 52c?
Yeah, I’m not sure but I’ve bought in and will continue to buy up at sub 20. I think the economy is in for a rocky time but I’m convinced busy people will continue to buy take aways for convenience, as well as treats. And with loads of international football this year, including a Qatar world that’s perfect for lunch and dinner games I actually see a decent year. Also I don’t see deliveroo making it through the recession.
Brave buy. I don’t see ROO, JET and UBER all surviving, and this would be my strong favourite to go under.
I bought these last week and managed to get out with 10% profit yesterday. I decided to sell after using the platform for a takeaway Friday. The £7.50 premium (£29 at the drive thru £37 on the app) was enough for the mrs to get her shoes on and drive 1.5 miles. Far too expensive and will going to struggle as belts tighten.
Wish I hadn’t, forget how pony this share is
After closing my position and taking a loss in this company previously, I’m back in. I’m hoping the next 4 days of chaos at the Capital's others Airports constantly plastered over the news, may peak some interest from the airlines.
Back in. £3500 in Poly@269, £2500 in Ferrexpo@168. Not really confident in either, but it only profit taken from the previous surge. Now I need to find a distraction until the Palace coup. GLA

It won’t be today IMO. Tomorrow will offer better entry prices… however you could still find yourself with £700 on Monday
You’re joking aren’t you?
Unfortunately not, I'm looking for that next opportunity. I like this company and will continue to watch it. Also this board is the mot entertaining out there atm.
