My only argument towards GDR is that they are a very small business. Not more than 50 employees, so their ability to concentrate and sell to all these possible countries with all the language barriers involved would be difficult so as they said selling in countries they have relationships already in makes sense. The only one they don’t have an excuse for is SA where they have long standing connections but haven’t been able to commercialise their product there, that is their biggest failure, especially as they have approval there for a while.

I agree croc, but now and I know a lot of people have been saying this for months. The next 2-3 weeks are going to be the most important for GDR. I feel it will lose its support after that if no sales contracts come in.

My only argument croc is that they said to achieve sales, but in an industry now and at that point is in the multi multi billions of pounds what they have achieved with a gold standard test is below standard. My fury is the reward that DB and the finance director got in the way of 100% bonus for what they have achieved. So while PIs who have been promised so much and mostly in the red. DB got not far off a million this year for what he has achieved. I would be more at ease if like with NCYT he bought more shares in the company with his massive bonus paid out of placing. The company has a lot to offer but DB himself hasn’t been entirely honest and to me used cloak screens at every opportunity. The people that have gained massively out of this is BGF, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was getting something personally out of that...

I think most investors are with you on that Gloria, I’m in here for the AIHL but as I’ve said before if they can’t sell tests in a pandemic I will lose hope for them selling their AIHL and making a difference to babies lives. Someone could even beat them to it on that product as people have done on COVID! My faith has withered a lot over the past month, I was a big supporter of this but even now I fade with others, but I still have a glimmer of hope in me!

This isn’t like a FTSE company oneknows, I’m afraid DB will be around for a while, the board were happy for him to get his entire salary as bonus even on the back of a bad year. I don’t not see that changing next year even if he doesn’t capitalise on COVID opportunities as he has got 8million to subsidise all the wages for the future

Hahaha why wouldn’t they have taken advantage in Africa before when they had a gold standard test why now is it any different with a new strain? Don’t get why you think the CEO is more competent now then a few months ago?

The hard part will be believing that they can capitalise on the second chance where they couldn’t on the first. Hopefully now they are much further along that is more likely! Holding and hoping!

Mystery I’ve been hoping for this effect to affect the sp for GDR but it hasn’t yet. If sales come through then it may boost an sp rise a bit more but at the moment the sp isn’t likely to go anywhere without sales. Again I’m still hopeful!

Rafal, I agree with you. It’s the same as people’s perception of our relationship with cytiva. We are their customer, and they do not sell our product they only distribute it. We have to sell it. I think this is the same with BC, I don’t think they are selling our product, they just want options for their customers who want a test to use with their biomek system.

Also I find it hard to believe that RNSs happen to just come on both the conversion dates of BGF shares which lead me to believe they held onto those RNSs till it suited them. I hate to be the pessimist but this is how I’ve read into it!

LTH I would normally agree with you but clearly there are loopholes and GDR use them as we didnt get any RNS about the ICMR approval which I believe we should have!

Hahaha I won’t to believe you on the sales figures for SA but they haven’t been able to sell there yet and I doubt this new strain will make any difference. If you basing your investment on that alone I think it’s not a great investment. I’m hoping the whole package will come together but to be honest I think any contract will make a massive difference as it will show that we can achieve commercialisation of the product and hopefully other deals will come on the back of it. It’s not great for sales when you go to a client and they ask, how much have you sold so far? Nothing. It’s much better when you can say you have contracts in place
