Stars what other POC stroke projects are happening in Manchester? Spent days searching and can only find one, remember this is a ‘localised’ funding programme and like I said Genedrive are in the same building.

Stars I think they will get a lot more funding this time round. First time round they had no proven record of being able to successfully develop a test with the NHS so didn’t get a huge amount. Now there is a lot more funding available and the strategy is much bigger ie making Manchester an innovation hub, so having made a successful test I think they will give a lot more funding now

Carlos they have already said they programme is for Manchester based companies. The clinicians and stakeholders all work in the same building as GDR who they all worked with on AIHL such as bill Newman. Think about it there are no other Manchester based point of care developers other than genedrive. I’ll put everything I have on it after reading that devote website.

This is why Genedrive have waited, think about it. Innovate uk gave Genedrive the funding for AIHL, they produced, got the thumbs up from NICE and now being used by the NHS. Success. Innovate UK are giving out the funding again, and we know they are funding a point of care test for strokes under the DEVOTE program. The programme is an ACCELERATION programme which starts in April. I said to myself I wouldn’t buy anymore here but Monday I think I’m going in.
