The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
I'm very thankful that I did not re-invest after selling up a few weeks ago. Thanks to Sarkozy for his opinion which persuaded me to stay out, thanks also to Vienna - your opinion was always based more on hope than on hard facts which also helped me make my decision to keep my money elsewhere. I genuinely hope that this is not the end for SMA as some on here think, It's not something anybody should gloat about - people losing money. Good luck to everyone.
I'm a relatively small shareholder on here and bought in at around the 5p mark. Based on others experience of similar, does anybody have any constructive thoughts or opinions of where this share price could realistically go to if a partner is announced? Thanks
It's refreshing to read some constructive comments on here at last. Thanks DanF and Vienna for the latest post - exactly what I thought this forum was here for.
Oh Vienna, now I'm a chuckle brother? Ok, could we do away with the insults for just one post please? As I stated previously, I sold my holding based on info received from a gent who knows and deals far more than me. I am keeping a keen eye out for information which would suggest I should buy back in to sma - we are all here for the same reason, information which could either help us make money or save us from losing any. I am genuinely interested to know your reasoning for being so confident that sma is a winner? You obviously have far more knowledge of sma and share dealing than I do, I would be very interested to hear of any facts or patterns that would indicate that I was too hasty and wrong to sell and that I should buy back in. If I could also request that you don't respond with insults - mine is a honest and serious request and I would appreciate an informative and factual response please. Thank you.
If you scroll through your old posts you will see that you did indeed call me a cretin. Water off a ducks back though. I'll leave you now to entertain yourself with your constant insults and unfunny jokes and put downs. I in the meanwhile, will get on with my very mundane and boring life. Enjoy the success I hope these shares bring you.
Oh Vienna - you don't think you've ever insulted me? Well, with the exception of calling me a plonker, a paper lad, quite mad, deranged, sadder than you thought I was, and a cretin - I agree, you haven't at all insulted me!!!
Thank you both for the info. Very much appreciated. Best of luck
Also, I haven't knocked the company. I was relaying information which could be seen as positive or negative!
You tell me to stop my insults??? Where??? Since my original post I have been nothing but insulted by Vienna?! I dontvrecalling you requesting him or her to halt Their venom! Report away all you like.
Vienna, you make me feel important when you say I made an attempt to scare folks in to selling. That made me smile! You also state, and I quote you"I've only ever given my own views, sometimes light hearted but always well meant." Well, I've had a look through your old posts and that is not the case. Almost every view you have posted contains insults. You come across as quite a nasty and horrid individual which I'm sure you are not, in real life. Good luck as always. I'll get myself ready for the next round of insults now.
Proof will be in the pudding Vienna. Let's wait and see who ends up looking daft. Me or you? Can't wait!
I'm fairly new at shares but bought in CLNR at around the 5p mark several months ago. I'm considering selling and putting the money back in to SXX which has been doing very well for me since buying in at 14p. I'm a bit unsure as many on this forum seem to have confidence that CLNR will go back up - what would people advise? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.
Hello Vienna. I am not Sarkozy, mine isnt a fake account. You are making yourself look foolish by imagining and convincing yourself that we are one and the same person. Don't be so suspicious of everyone and be so offensive, it weakens some of the good points you have made. Good luck though.
And still the insults come! You question my legitimacy and I offer to confirm it the only way I could by proving I'm a real person and not what you suspect. I'm no ones stooge, sidekick or puppet. I did actually state the positives of the information by suggesting they wouldn't ask for an extension if they weren't intending to follow through. Your brain chose to overlook this positive take on the info, only acknowledging the negative before releasing volley after volley of insults. They do say people lacking in intillect often resort to insults as a first reaction as the brain of the said individual cannot process more than one side to any reasonable argument. In the interests of your sanity, call SMA. The information was not stated as confidential and was offered as answers to questions. Nothing underhand here and no insider dealing. If that was the case I would expect to be arrested probably early tomorrow morning! I will watch the shares with interest in the future. From my prison cell.
Oh my god! Thanks for the further insults Vienna. I haven't and won't stoop to such a level. Am I not allowed to have an opinion which differs from yours? Am I not allowed to share it on chat forums? Really? I don't mind speaking to you over the phone if my opinion is deemed to be that important and if it would help you to validate I am exactly as I have stated! Wow. These forums might not be for me if this is the result of participating!
I didn't speak to anyone. As I said earlier I'm a novice with shares and don't know enough to take a cold punt on a company. I only ever buy when people I know who deal regularly in shares, are good enough to pass a tip my way - hence why I bought in when I did. The guy who tipped me bought in with a sizeable chunk and it was he who made the call with questions. He told me about the conversation and told me he then sold his holding on the basis of what he was told. Or maybe, he's lying to me? I don't intend to self depricate for effect. I'm not pretending to be anything I'm not - I'm a normal(ish) man with a family and only been dealing in shares for a couple of years. I come on here to try and gain insights in to the companies I have shares in by reading others opinions. I only posted in here for the first time today as it looked like the user Sarkozy was being roasted for having what seemed to me to be an opinion which may hold water. I've only recently been watching this forum so I'm only basing my opinion on him based on his recent comments on sma on this board Meanwhile - any tips or help would always be appreciated - thanks to those who have responded to my original post with constructive responses and not immediate insults.
I didnt get the info from Sarkozy or one of his posts. The best way to establish if there is any truth in my original post is to ring SMA and ask the relevant person directly. I don't believe they would be anything other than truthful. If they do ask for an extension I would have thought it would be based on their intention to complete yeah? and if they get it - it can only be a good thing for everyone who has invested surely. For my money though, I made the choice to get out at slightly less than i got in at - i'm not clever enough to know for sure if that was the right call or not.
it was a small holding, im not trying to play the big man or the smart investor - I'm a novice mate and playing with some of my savings thats all. I don't have a great amount invested in shares, probably around 10k total across 5 different companies. I sold £3500 worth on Friday of last week, I know it's not much, I didn't realise it was such a paltry amount that would result in your haha. Im fine with that, It wouldnt kill me to lose it. I enjoy coming on here and reading other peoples comments and opinions, im simply offering mine. Now imagine if i'm right - the novice no hoper who doesnt know what he's doing??!!
No need to be offensive to me just because I expressed my admittedly amateur opinion. It's what I've heard, that's all - I'm sharing the info as it may be helpful to others in forming their own opinion. If my information proves to be correct and they ask for an extension and it is granted - I would imagine the shares would go exactly the way I hoped they would while I was holding - great news all round surely. I'm only offering a balanced opinion - surely good decisions are based on having as much information as possible. I dare say, they wouldnt ask for an extension if they weren't intending on following through - my information could be seen as a positive instead of the negative you have picked up on?
Im sorry to say, but Sarkozy could be right. I believe SMA will be asking for a 3 month extension to their deadline - they haven't managed to progress as far as they should have by this stage. They may well get the extension - they may not. Better more informed people than me know a lot more than I ever will but that information was enough to persuade me to sell all my SMA holding at a small loss. I may regret it in time but I sleep easier at nights now. Good luck all and I hope I am wrong so you all make fortunes!
