Hybrid Ferraris have outsold purely petrol-powered models for the first time in a boost for the Italian marque as it prepares to launch its first electric vehicle.

Wage growth came in comfortably above economists’ expectations in the three months to September, suggesting inflationary pressures remain strong.

According to figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS), average wage growth including bonuses was 7.9 cent between July and September, down from last month’s upwardly revised figure of 8.2 per cent.
