We expect a similar gold grade increase at depth. This zone should be highlighted by the geophysical survey currently underway."

Rockfire Resources PLC (LON:ROCK) has returned broad, consistent gold assays from a geophysical target on its Plateau gold project in Australia.

The results are indicative of a large-scale gold deposit, similar to the Mt Wright gold mine, which is in turn part of the 10mln ounce-plus Ravenswood complex.

Of particular note was gold mineralisation occurring almost continuously throughout a 215 metre deep hole, including 177 metres at 0.5 grams per tonne gold.

AFC Energy unveils new product lines for hydrogen power tech
The new product lines include H-Power, a group of hydrogen power systems including an off-grid electric vehicle charger to be released next month

AFC Energy PLC (LON:AFC) has unveiled four new brands as its inaugural product line of hydrogen power technologies.

The AIM-listed firm is launching HydroX-Cell(L), a zero emission, high efficiency and low-cost alkaline fuel cell utilising a liquid electrolyte configured in 10 kilowatt (kW) modules, to be used in large scale industrial applications utilising lower grades of hydrogen.

A similar fuel cell, HydroX-Cell(S), is also due to be marketed, although unlike the (L) model it is a high current density alkaline fuel cell and can be used in both mobile and stationary applications.

The third brand, H-Power, is a group of hydrogen power systems including an off-grid electric vehicle (EV) charger, while the fourth product, AlkaMem, is a range of anionic exchange polymer membranes, used to separate fuel reactants between two electrodes inside the cell, that can be used in a wide range of applications including fuel synthesis and energy storage.

"The culmination of the past three years work has led us to a clear tri-pillar approach to the branding of our core technologies within the H-Power suite of products”, said Adam Bond, AFC’s chief executive.

He added that the new technologies, when combined with the company’s new EV charger to be released next month, “will deliver a zero emission, low cost and high performing technology platform capable of competing favourably with…fuel cell systems in the market today".

The Group added 685 net new customers during 2019 while maintaining a customer retention rate of 96% (2018: 97%).



The total customer base at 31 October 2019 was 1,677, an increase of 69% on 2018 (2018: 992), providing a substantially increased base for the Group to upsell into in future periods.



In 2019 the Group demonstrated its future upsell potential with significant success with the existing customer base resulting in 1,139 upsells into 544 customers. These upsells demonstrate the software's scalability and the strategic nature of customer deployments.



The Group is also very pleased to note that the first significant cohort of one-year-one-Digital-Worker deals in the fourth quarter of 2018 is demonstrating good early progress with 38% of the customers upselling during 2019.



Financial progress

Sales momentum has resulted in a very strong financial performance with total business (which measures the total contract value from new customers, upsells and renewals) over the period of £181m (2018: £143m). There was a significant increase in total business won in the second half of the year, with £115m generated by strong performances in all the key geographic regions, driven by an increase in deal sizes, particularly within upsells.

Adam Bond, AFC Energy's Chief Executive Officer, said: "The launch of AFC Energy's first hydrogen fuelled, zero emission EV charger unit next month means we must now prepare ourselves to respond to orders in a timely manner. The funding announced today supports these activities across both the sales function and supply chain with a view to accelerating our readiness for our deployment in 2020".

British firm AFC Energy has launched the first ever hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle charger, a system it describes as a “breakthrough” in clean mobility.

By using hydrogen fuel cells to recharge battery-electric vehicles in car parks and service stations, the system will help bridge the growing gap between electricity need and generation capacity caused by a projected rise in EV uptake. The modular, low-cost charger also solves some of the logistical issues currently associated with electric car charging, and can even operate entirely off-grid. It's a completely different model to our current use of hydrogen in mobility, in that the vehicles themselves are BEVs rather than FCEVs, and could...

AFC Energy PLC (LON:AFC) said its hydrogen-powered 72kWh, off-grid electric vehicle charging system is on target for commercial launch in December.

The fuel charger will target multi-user sites such as fleet operators, car parks, shopping centres and other off-grid applications and can be readily scaled up to 288kWh through an increase in the integrated energy storage capacity.

Technical staff necessary to enable the second shift in the original San Antonio facility to become operational have been recruited and are in the process of being trained. Monthly processing throughput has already more than doubled in the year to Q3 and these additional products are expected to become available towards the end of Q4.

The Company is working closely with its existing outsource provider, CTS, in order to increase the yield of its DermaPure® product after also announcing the launch of DermaPure® Non-Oriented, for use in surgical and uro-gynaecology applications, at the American Urogynecologic Society conference in Nashville in September. The Company is working closely with its strategic partner, ARMS Medical, on the roll out of this product.
