Are due 15th May. I'm not expecting fireworks. I'd be happy with growth of 15% or above for the 2013 year - that'd be very impressive considering the Indonesian situation! No the fireworks will come in the 2014 financial year - the 2014 HY results in particular should be incredible! Obviously will be looking out for what comments are made about how things have done "post-period" and the outlook in the year ahead. This is a great time to buy in because, based on my current calculations, SYQ is worth close to double this. DYOR but for me this is a very strong buy

Hope you weren't too heavily invested here because those results are disappointing tbh. As for LEG - it's horribly overvalued in my opinion. Although that is based on an analysis I did months ago.

You can say that again - in terms of investor interest, share price performance, etc - this has to be one of the dullest shares going!

In all honesty I'm surprised you were in here. Especially considering how you congratulated Blue for selling (stating his move as wise). And yeah I guess for a takeover that isn't amazing. Bet you wish A J Gallagher bought up Brightside - they pay over the odds without fail it seems, hence why they're expanding so fast. But well done nonetheless. Profit is profit and 20% is pretty good tbh :)

Stockopedia's Paul Scott isn't as bullish about the acquisition because it's been paid for by debt and tbh I think he has a point, don't you? My god you seem to be on free carry in almost every nice-looking stock I glance at (and 6k after selling - jesus that's possibly even more than my entire portfolio). I was going to ask 'How do you do it?' but I already know: it's because you're a fantastic investor. I have much to learn from you.... As for TRI, I think I'm going to let this go because there's better opportunities out there I reckon and - as discussed with you yesterday - I'm trying desperately not to buy anything! Insurance isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but I think the main reason this board is so quiet is because there’s too many IPOs to keep track of these days. I doubt many people even realise BRIT are on the stock market! Ah I see. I work in London myself but not in Lloyd’s. I’d love to work there but I’m having to work towards it at the moment. No I haven’t and part of me wonders whether I ever will because, in all honesty, I struggle to make sense of insurers’ financial accounts so it’s hard for to judge whether it is cheap or not whereas I can spot some very cheap shares elsewhere in the market (I’ll tell you about them if you wish). On the other hand the market cap here (at 220p) is £880m, profit is £100m, and it says in the admission document: “The board expect to declare a base interim dividend of £25m for 2014, representing a third of the expected annual divided. The group intends to pay the remainder of the dividend in early 2015.” …and, if my sums are correct, that would mean (at 220p) the interim dividend will be 2.84% and the full year dividend will be 8.53% which is superb! I can only think of only two shares that give such high dividends (JIL and GLIF). It’s so good that I may end up buying after all. Let me know if you dip your toe in or not. I tried reading that AGM report but you have to be a member to do so, and I can't sign up! So do you care to sum it up for me?

Number of registered users 30 Sept 2012 - 600,000 30 Sept 2013 - 1,700,000 That's an extra 1.1m users = 3,014 added per day on average but UBC at the time that 5000 users were being added per day. At Dec 2013 (bit vague) - 2,000,000 users At 16 April 2014 (found on one of ONE Delta's RNSs) - 2,400,000 Therefore the number of registered users has grown fourfold over 19 months. Registered users doesn't equate to active users but that's nevertheless very impressive. But, from 30 Sept to 16 April, the average number of new users per day is about 3,530. Not 5,000 a day but still an improvement. I've also recently been trying to work out why it's growing so fast - why people would use it and I came across this: https://audioboo.fm/about/social_blind It's a superb social media platform for the visually impaired, and therefore still very exciting!
