Lack of mojo suggests sub 300p could be on the cards

Watching with intrigue and curious to hear opinions about what I wrote below

Really surprised my posts re the Cleve Hill Solar Project in Kent hasn't had more interest from this bulletin board btw but please have a google and you'll see the UK Government has approved for these 2 solar companies to build a solar 5 times the size UK's largest solar farm today and have batteries to store up to 350 MW of energy.

*in what was a complex deal which primarily involved issuing bushveld shares to former Lemur shareholders as compensation (I think!)

Ninvestor - I completely agree with you. Bushveld started off as a big iron-ore mining exploration company about 8 years ago but has transformed into something completely different and much better.

"Bushveld Green Energy Solutions" or something along those lines would be my preference.

And yes I agree that they should sell off Lemur. From memory this was a genius move at the time because they bought Lemur for roughly the same amount of cash Lemur had in the bank (effectively buying those assets for free). The cash was vital at the time but obviously used up now. And those assets have never done anything for us in terms of share price, so what's the point in us holding on to it? It's clearly outside of what is the current strategy so it makes sense to sell this off.

My average currently stands at 284p, but I may purchase more shares before the Interim Results are announced to bring my average up higher I suspect.

Target: 400p

Why is this even being discussed? BMN is generating huge revenues and profits as it is.

We aren't just some exploration company any more haha

What are the pros and cons to be being main market listed vs AIM-listed?

Also, for what it's worth, I'm confident BMN will be a FTSE250 participant one day. When I have a few more grey hairs!

When you say "main market listing" what are you referring to precisely?

Because automatic promotion to the FSE250 technically requires a MC of £600m or more,* which would require us to be trading at a share price of 52p+. I believe we will get there but until we reach a higher MC valuation I don't see how we can transfer over to the FTSE 250 if that's your hope.

*(I've seen companies with a MC as high as £1.2-1.6bn down as "AIM-listed" but perhaps that's their choice)

Thanks cosmic. Do we know how many shares the PIs own? because, as long as we own more than 25-30% of the shares, we could collectively vote against this if it was not in our interests.

Don't think it will ever come to that because the Board of Directors have always kept our interests at hearts (by desperately trying to avoid dilution wherever possible etc) but yeah it'd be comforting to know this

"Subject to a three-year vesting period (between 20 July 2020 to 19 July 2023) and subject to continued employment" means it'll be 2023 before Fortune & Co can sell these shares. It is therefore even more in their interests than before to ensure the sp is as high as possible by July 2023.

Also genuinely believe that they do deserve these bonus awards for all the progress they have made in the past couple of years.

So yeah I'm actually mildly positive about this RNS

Thanks for your comment. Lots of good questions asked. Not sure what the answers are myself but I know there are plenty of stocks with dual listings with no issues. Although sometimes I have seen the same company will be trading at a higher MC on one stock exchange than the other. A current example of this is BXP (Beximco Pharma) who are listed both in London and in Bangladesh and the LSE valuation is playing catch up to the Dhaka stock exchange one.

Don't think there's been any discussion about us being de-listed from LSE entirely so not sure why anyone would be expecting that. Feel free to correct me though.

I remember those sub 2p days and they were some very dark times, so bravo for having the balls to get invested then haha

for the exact same reason - because I felt Bushveld was worth much much more at the time and I would feel like I'm selling my shares short to sell at that price.

Since then Bushveld has continued to make huge progress and is arguably worth more now.

Although, being honest, hindsight is a wonderful thing. Had I known that the Chinese rebar standards were not properly being enforced and that China was massively ramping up their own vanadium production to such an extent that the value of vanadium dropped fast shortly thereafter I would have sold enough to get my original investment money back. But that's hindsight for you.

I'm still confident we'll see 45p+ and I actually expect us to eventually reach 100p+

Just seen that the Swale Borough Council tried to challenge the government's decision to approve the plan but were unsuccessful.

The other thing I've heard of recently is the how the UK Govt have approved a development consent order (DCO) for the immense Cleve Hill project on the Thames Estuary in Kent.

Hive Energy and German developer Wirsol Energy (both solar companies it seems) sought permission for an energy storage solution of "over 50MW" capacity with no upper limit.

Upon receiving the DCO they prompted stated the project would need battery storage for 350MW (the largest in the world!) because they intend to have 880,000 solar panels -- 5 times bigger than the largest UK solar farm!

Is there an opportunity for Bushveld to get involved ??

Not sure if you guys read the previous issue (released 3rd July) but there was an article on page 40 explaining how Dean Buckner (Shareholder Association Director & former BoE regulator) believes L&G's investment portfolio may have fallen by up to £10bn - "all but wiping the company out."

It goes on to explain in depth why the most recent dividend really shouldn't have been paid out here.

Basically looks like this could be worth zero so would rather invest almost anywhere else.

Don't mean to deramp but thought it would be good to share this here.

Hahaa I'd love to but I'm not senior enough to know the guy really - I honestly felt very lucky to be on the call with him - but it's clear that this company are already thinking about how to store energy from solar farms, wind farms, etc so hopefully they'll naturally find their way to vanadium.

Having said that I'm going to be included in quarterly meetings with him from now on, so perhaps an opportunity will arise... although I kinda feel I need to be having a lunch with him to bring this up. Zoom calls just aren't relaxed enough!
