Today being a bit of a flat day for trading.
The SP where we are now should hold for a while subject to a good RNS.
I wouldn't BUY just yet. See how the following few days go & get any climate announcements out of the way.
As we get closer to the next dividend date SP will increase but divi not likely to be as good as what we may expect.

Climate COP measures will target coal & Putin's long war will increase coal demand. War ends & demand will drop further.
I think as we pass the winter season coal will be $120/T
Recovery from the Transnet strike may not be until January. SP heading to 1200p IMO. Love to be wrong.

LSE seems off the mark as do you & me. I have a 20.2M for the day but can no longer see trade type totals. I'm now on a slimmed down version of Quotemedia thanks to ii. If it doesn't get fixed by the weekend I will need to find a better solution.
Still a nice scenic ride to 49.49p today. Depending upon tonight's news we could see 52p or higher tomorrow.
Creeping confidence is what I detect. SP still very unpredictable but not so volatile as a few months ago.

The best thing that could happen to the stock market is to END day trading, shorting, options & hedging. Limit investment to one trade per month per stock per investor with a 5 working day delay for investor payment.
I think that would be very sensible. Most certainly would slow down the show. Wouldn't need this superfast internet thingy.
Just think - all the trolls would cease to exist. Stock prices would move in directions you couldn't reach & BOO would be easily £5 per share.

All but one Short is in a losing position. They will either increase to cover their positions, bail out or wait for the Autumn Statement which is likely to be balanced (which means not good).

Jongle - At least the 20p vision has gone. Now we go yo-yo, hmmm, Skyward IMO like the rockets in the air tonight.

Nearly all Shorts are under water. Will a two year mild recession assist them or investors? i think it can depend upon how much economic bad news can be fed in to the media. Most stocks now seem a little immune to further shock news unless a serious market collapse is lurking in the mighty plan.

While the going is good BUY BOO. Next economic blowout is November 17th. Hopefully BOO is past 60p at that point but expecting a fallback whatever the price.

A 'Short Troll' is identified as an ugly public nuisance who rapid-fires posts of criticisms about a stock in various investment forums or trading chat rooms. You know them well. They are loud and obnoxious and post often--too often. Every post is negative and they only criticise and do so unmercifully.

Shorts & trolls are under attack. Next week will be a new ball game.

Natural move for funds & institutions is good winter profits from retail.
Energy stocks fade out now until early next year. BOO may not be in their top 10 but will be considered.

Contraction is actually good as it refocuses strategy. Those that don't make the grade fade out or get bought out. There is a limit to the trading arena. Too many is no good as is too few.
Pop the Turkey - BOO in for a good finish.

A short seller increase of a small percentage can often be a cover for an older short position. Basically as a short contract ends another is taken out to cover the last position & add some. They do need to close soon as at this level of exposure losses can be huge & there is little movement south in the SP. One day of happiness can add 15%. Get a happy week & should the SP stabilize thereafter its game over. There is only the recession until March that can help them IMO but their buy-in price is set too high so expect big swings until the short re-adjust their positions.
BOO probably the best BOO world if you know how to play it.
