Geological logging recorded qualitative descriptions of lithology, alteration, mineralisation, veining, and structure (for all diamond core drilled – 6,251.3m), including orientation of key geological features.
Geotechnical measurements were recorded including Rock Quality Designation (RQD) fracture frequency, solid core recovery and qualitative rock strength measurements.
Magnetic susceptibility measurements were recorded every metre. The bulk density of selected drill core intervals was determined at site on whole core samples.
All geological and geotechnical logging was conducted at Havieron site.
Digital data logging was captured on diamond drill core intervals only, and all data validated and stored in an AcQuire database.
All drill cores were photographed, prior to cutting and/or sampling the core.

Thanks for clearing that up Paddy, I agree they will have a very good idea what is there even without knowing the grades, especially if it is metres and metres of gold showing through like Havieron !

ManfromUruguay, it's not just initial impressions, there is a mobile scanner which basically does the same as assay labs by scanning the cores and giving mineralisation results, but before releasing the results they have to be confirmed by an independent assay lab .

Yes .. that was said and seems to be common practice .. hence the initial information must have been good enough to send the cores to the assay labs for verification, before publishing the results !

Jambo, they know what is there as the drill cores were checked on site .. they are sent to the assay labs for independent verification. If there wasn’t something there do you think they would have been sent to the labs ? And the way GH laughed when saying the investors are eagerly awaiting the results tends to lean me towards something good !

Oilmonkey .. none so blind as those that cannot see .. to any of you out there complaining about this deal .. if you are not happy sell up .. there are loads of fund managers waiting for your shares !

Jambo, I think the loan can come out of the 5% Newcrest have to pay for if they want 75% .. so it’s well covered.

2m Oz .. that will be for one of the Brechia zones .. we have another 3 and at least 2 of them have high grade deposits in the horseshoe ( now a loop ) try doing some research before quoting a very poor assessment, when all other mining experts are extolling the virtues of Havieron

Cheers trucky, it was a risk where it was but yes they had tons of oil .. bad management screwed everybody. Then ISIS which nobody could have seen. I know a few who lost a lot on it. !

5x5 yeah stupidity and greed on my part ! Lesson learned !

Mind you if we ever hit £4.50 I don’t think I will have any doubts about cashing in ;-))
